Hot Pot Garden — Restaurant in Jakarta

I am a big fan of Hotpot Garden since in Sabang even before it’s renovated. The old good times with family having dinner at Hotpot, brings nostalgic every time I visited here.

I hope the owner can see my message here below.

The food is good, but I think the quality can be way way better. Hope the owner can be more attentive to the quality and variant of the food. Especially the meat. Slice meat is the most favorite in shabu shabu. Better quality for perut ikan etc.

The cutlery, personal bowls, plates, if it’s possible, better to change them into porcelain /piring pecah belah (kaca). Because they’re more healthier for hotpot (shabu shabu) than the melamine (which not good for hot food) that you’ve already used it since the beginning of the restaurant.

Please make improvements so we as the second generation (since our parents are the one that introduced us to Hotpot) can share good food to our next generation.

Hope I can hear good news about the improvements, so me and my new little family can visit there again.

Good place for company lunch, friends gathering and family reunion. Enjoy the hamdmade food, unique, fresh and delicious. Must try cheese dumpling, squid ball, prawn ball, seaweed ball, siewkiau, can't get them elsewhere. Soup is authentic taste, can taste the long hour cooking flavor. The shop owner recommended a very unique way cooking to enjoy the tasteful soup, after boiling all ingredients, add the rice to simmer by the soup, to let the rice fully absorb the flavoring soup taste, what a wonderful tasteful rice soup! It is also enjoyable to have refreshing drink to go with the yummy hotpot food, especially kedong-dong with plum and the fresh squeezed fruit juice. A place that is good for family reunion and friends gathering. Ingredients are fresh and all handmade. Worth the price with reasonable price for handmade food. A rare place to have the traditional hotpot with all yummy handmade ingredients, must try squid ball, prawn ball, crabmeat ball, seaweed roll, stuffed tofu, siewkiau etc, thick and tasteful soup base that has been cook for min 10 hours.
