Kantin Rujak Cingur Pak Hadi — Restaurant in Jakarta

One of the good Javanese restaurant in central Jakarta area. No aircon and could get hot when dining in at lunch, there’s no parking space. Had twice disappointment when I ordered satay for takeaway because they never gave me my lontong. But dining in it was a very different experience, level of spiciness is perfect and variety in their menu is also good. Proper taste a’la Surabayan (East Javanese), good presentation with suitable portion, yet was VERY overpriced. We paid IDR 80k for 2 (two) of their flagship dishes i.e. Rujak Cingur & Tahu Telor, but with what we got, we strongly believe they should only charged half price or IDR 40k. Was the premium tag because the store located in a very premium neighboorhod near lavish old colonial Menteng area? Who knows. But we wont took another chance....

Not okay. The rice is mushy. We order soto and tongseng, but the soup is not that hot, the tongseng is too spicy, we can not enjoy it. The taste itself is nothing special or i can say is ga enak.
