Whenever I'm in Senopati, I always find myself stopping in front of Akoen. Honestly, its facade stands out from the neighboring restaurants 😂. A quick check on Google Maps revealed it's a Chinese food spot 🥢🥡, which I personally love. Upon entering, I was amazed by their extensive menu boasting nearly 100+ dishes, ranging from noodles, kwetiau, chicken, squid, beef, veggies, and more. Upon the waiter's recommendation, I tried the Butter Chicken (not the Indian style) and Fried Capcay. I also added Yamin with Meatball and Siomay for some carbs. The food arrived swiftly (in less than 10 minutes), and my first impression was the generous portion size! It could easily serve 3-4 people, but there were only 2 of us 🤣. The chicken was a bit tough for my liking, but the sauce was decent. The capcay stood out with its variety of veggies, shrimp, fishball, and meatball. The yamin was average. The yamien baso still taste the same decious, BUT the I Fu Mie taste so fishy because of the chicken liver, it doesn’t taste the same like the old days. Wonder if they changed the cook?
