Sari Indah — Restaurant in Jakarta

I booked a family Iftar at Sari Indah Restaurant and was asked to arrive between 17:00 – 17:30. However, when we arrived at 16:50, our table wasn’t ready yet. The staff initially prepared a table for 14 people, even though we requested seating for 20. They assured us that they would combine tables later, but the rearrangement only happened right before Iftar, which was quite inconvenient.

Another issue was the air quality inside the restaurant. The room was filled with white smoke, which, according to the waiter, came from the grilled chicken. It was uncomfortable and irritating to the eyes.

The food was very delicious. I tried the beef rendang, gulai tunjang, grilled chicken, and jangek (crispy beef skin) soaked in gulai. The gulai was a bit salty, but overall, it was still okay and yummy.

The prayer room was well-maintained and clean, which I appreciated. However, the stairs leading up were a bit dark, and the handrail was wobbly, making it feel unsafe.

Despite the service and environment issues, I loved the food and would definitely return to...

About food: Tasty padang food, especially ayam goreng, ayam gulai, ayam pop, ayam bakar. In other place serving padang food, I kind not too interested in chicken meals. But here, every ayam is tasty. They serve gulai otak too, also tunjang, also many sambals.. Dont forget karupuak jangek n potato chips poured with bumbu kuning, yumm. Yet their rendang, for me, is not that impresive.

About service: average. When crowded, I suggest you go to the display and directly request what to bring in your table..

I always eat uncontrollably here, so I expect spending of 100k - 150k in one visit, per person. Extremely uncontrollably when I am with...

I love the sari Indah in Bintaro but this one has terrible service and sub standard food. Waiters ignored us repeatedly, did not serve complete choices, and to top it all off their card machine wasn't working forcing me to walk 100 metres to the nearest ATM to withdraw cash. Needless to say Ibu was more than happy with cash in hand offering me exact change whilst counting her many millions in takings. The rice was mushy, the rest of the offerings nothing special.
