I was smitten with my short experience in golf simulator at Senayan Golf Studio two days ago, which made me come back playing there again today.
Previously I always feel the golf simulator lacked the feeling and accuracy, especially on short game. Most particularly on putting.
But somehow I got a hang of it really well on Friday. I’m not sure if the technology has advanced, or my short game is getting better. Maybe a bit of both ☺️
I broke 80s on both visits. Although I’m pleased with the score, certainly my real golf round could only wish for that kind of consistency. Too good to be true? Maybe.
So I guessed the “Pro” setup in the sim might not be challenging enough. Hence after completing my round, I played another couple of holes, with “Tour” setup, which is more difficult.
Sure enough, my mishit shots turned uglier. But I still managed to score few Pars, and few Bogeys. Which is closer to my game in real course. Hence, this is probably the setup I’d use for future visits.
In the end, I’m happy to find a great alternative for golf, when, for whatever reason, we can’t be on the real course on weekend. This, at the very least, can cure the “golf bug” with a lot less time and cost commitment.
Further more, you can also bring your entire family to watch you conquer another course in Jeju, South Korea. As the place also serve as Cafe. It has plenty options of food and coffee. Cost you 350k rupiah per hour, you can already book a VIP room, in which your family can leisurely chillin while drinking some lattes.
If they get bored watching your swing, they could choose to go around the SPARK mall anyway, which is now quite popular place for hang out.
A very good option to spend a weekend by playing the game you love with...
Read moreIn my opinion, this is a hidden gem worth trying. My wife and I tried the Cheese Tteokgalbi Set and the Beef Bulgogi Set. Both are excellent! In terms of taste, in my opinion, it's been tweaked for us Indonesian but still got the Korean soul. For the main protein, it's a bit too sweet for us. For the Banchan, this time we got 6 items instead of 5. We like all three kimchis, extra two protein of egg and boneless fried chicken, and also the Japchae. The Japche is more than decent, I love the chewiness of the glass noodles and the aftertaste hint of sesame oil. Lastly, there is a Sundubu Jigae Soup and rice, of course. In my opinion, the soup is a good compliment for the chips and the fried chicken banchan. And don't forget the dessert. We got a scoop of vanilla ice cream to flush the earlier saltiness left on your tongue. Overall, this is a worthy meal, and I'd love to come back with my...
