Having tried various other restaurants serving same food, we definitely agreed that this place has the best Kuo Tie & Sekba! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 They serve 2 types of Kuo Tie: fried & boiled, both are good but we love the fried Kuo Tie, crunchy on the outside, meaty & not too oily — the boiled version has same tasty fillings and would be a healthier option.
Sekba (sometimes called bektim) is a Chinese Indonesian pork offals stewed in mild soy sauce-based soup. The stew tastes mildly sweet and salty, made from soy sauce, garlic, and Chinese herbs. There are two things why people go to this place:
KUOTIE: pan fried, deep fried, boiled - all 3 types are equally good, so it depends what you prefer tasty-juicy, crunchy or soft-watery.
SEKBA / STEWED PORK ORGANS: the best in town, even better than Gloria Glodok and Pluit Sakti. It is well marinated, super tasty and wide range of choices - skin (kulit), lung (paru), tounge (lidah), three layer meat (samcan), cheek (pipi), ear (kuping), tofu (tahu), big & small intestines (usus besar & kecil), lean meat (daging kapsim). The only thing missing is blood (darah).
