I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kamseng, and I must say, it’s an absolute gem for porridge enthusiasts. From the moment I walked in, the cozy, inviting atmosphere set the stage for a memorable meal.
The menu offers an impressive array of porridge options, each one crafted with care and creativity. I opted for their signature dish, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The porridge was perfectly creamy and rich, with a delightful balance of flavors and textures. Toppings were fresh and plentiful, adding the perfect finishing touches.
What truly stood out was the attention to detail. Each bowl was beautifully presented and the ingredients were clearly of the highest quality. The service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.
Whether you’re a porridge aficionado or just looking to try something new, Kamseng is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their...
Read moreTried one of the famous Chinese food restaurant at Mangga Besar area. The place was crowded but we managed to get a table.
We ordered: Bubur Ikan Fillet (fillet fish congee) The texture of the congee was nice, just as my liking, not too soft and not too thick. But actually we can choose the thickness of the congee. The congee came with fillet fish and katsuoboshi on top. It was quite nice.
Cakwe The cakwe was yummy and cruchy. Like it!
Tim babi (steamed pork) The steamed pork was topped with salted egg and it was delicious! I think it’s nice to combine with plain congee or rice.
Kuotie For the kuotie, it wasn’t ready so we chose to wait for about 30mins to be made. The kuotie was filled with steamed pork and a few corn. It also came with a sauce, maybe black vinegar. It was good and we enjoyed it.
Overall it was a good place to come with family and eat chinese food. Note: the payment method...
Read moreThe porridge is delicious, the texture is soft, it's not too dilute and not too sticky. My favourite is "Bubur Babi Phitan" (Pork Porridge with Century Egg), it has quite a lot of pork and a few slices of century egg. Beside the main dishes, the restaurant also provides variant of side dishes, like "Kuping Babi", "Kaki Babi", "Telur Goreng Jaipo", and etc. From my standpoint, the "Kuping Babi" is a lil sticky, it's not as dry and crisp as it should be and the "Kaki Babi" has ordinary taste. And lastly, for the desert, I bought a "Guilinggao" it's a jelly-like Chinese medicine. Usually, Guilinggao tastes bitter, but in this restaurant, it's not really that bitter, the Jasmine Chinese Tea is more bitter! The restaurant is quite extensive, it has second floor, however it's somewhat hard to find the parking space, especially when...
