Day1 iin Jakarta, and we had the most memorable lunch at Shanghai Blue 1920 — a beautiful spot that transported us straight to old Batavia and 1920s Shanghai.

From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by rich Chinese heritage: Han characters on the door, vintage Art Deco furniture adorned with floral details, and that nostalgic temple-like scent that set the mood instantly. 🏮🌸

Dining here felt like stepping into a different era — where every detail tells a story and every dish brings back the elegance of the past. The menu serves a unique fusion of Chinese and Betawi flavors, all beautifully presented in a setting full of history and charm.

This place doesn't make sense. It charged 4 mil to take couple's pic here. Whereas taking picture for arisan's group is free of charge. Can't even answer for the difference in price. Surely 2 ppl taking picture not as disturbing as 5+ ppl taking picture. So Not Recommended

Update : The amount of cover up that they did is astounding. I never even mention that there is decoration. It's just 2 people and photographer. So if 5+ ppl having arisan + photographer its free. If there's 2 ppl + photographer its suddenly 4 mil without any benefit given except for a jug of ice tea. This just shows what kind of service are offered here if they can openly twist someone's...

Ordered lumpia Shanghai, crab soup, and Hainan rice. I would say there's nothing remarkable about the food except for the Hainan Rice.

The Hainan rice's chicken is so juicy, the meat is flavorful and melted in our mouth. The rice is aromatic, the longing ginger flavor indicated that it's a good Hainan rice.

The place is super cute, amazing decor, and ambiance. I would rather sit on the rooftop for the smoking area.

The parking space is tricky here so might need valets or just use public transportation.
