Wolfgang's Steakhouse Jakarta — Restaurant in Jakarta

Unless you wanna woo someone with the place or the experience of dining with a view, I don't really recommend this place.

Went here with some friends and ordered the Porterhouse for 3, Grilled Salmon,Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Soup of the day, Wolfgang Salad, Asparagus, Saute Mushroom, Mashed Potato, Orange juices and some mocktails, and Key Lime Pie, Chocolate Melted Cake, and Tiramisu.

I expected a lot from the steak, but the meat was just alright. It wasn't mindblowing, not even worth for the price. Neither the taste nor the size, met my expectation.

The rest of the food were just alright. The Asparagus was quite outstanding, at least the chef knows how to cook them right. The dessert were also just so - so.

The place was indeed well decorated, and the view was spectacular, especially at night, but for me, when I go to a restaurant (especially at this level of semi fine dining), it is natural for me to expect the food to be outstanding, as I can always find nice place with good view anywhere else.

To be fair; the food wasn't bad, it just didn't meet either the value of the money, or my expectation for such a class.

Service was alright, the people were polite but don't expect a friendly or genuine gesture (typical formal dining state).

And pls note that they require a formal attire as in no sandals allowed. If you happen to wear sandals, they will offer you a replacement shoes. However, the shoes were dirty and old, and don't fit everyone's size, not to mention from the hygiene point of view.

If I may give a suggestion; it would be much classier to prepare leather shoe-sandals (front side look like shoes, back side sandals), with your restaurant's emblems and such. Wrapped on satin pouch, and sanitized everytime someone wear it. That would be a classy move that suits...

Surely 5 stars, compare to "another brand with same concept as American steakhouse; you named it". From reservation, service, food and ambiance.. In summary surely will come back 😁 just worth the price

Checked yes 1: hand towel = shows professional hospitality Checked yes 2: they offer you a place to put your bag, for ladies it's very helpful when you just got the table for two with limited space (i.e not in couch or sofa type) Checked yes 3: welcome bread, can't expected it has sweet onion filling. For segmented person might would not like the taste.. for me and husband as onion lover, definitely yes.. Checked yes 4: the waiters WASN'T do "too scripted service" they just did what they need to do.. this is so personal since me and my husband are prefer to not having waiters who always asking blablabla in too much period time (like always 5 minutes come to your table).. imho, some scripted service with extra no sincere tone it's a big no for me.. luckily not in here haha. Checked yes 5: the food.. yess 100.. I ordered porterhouse for two, Caesar salad with thick beef bacon, truffle fries and sauteed onions for side dish.. and very fast.. when we just touched the bread, salad already come.. I think all of my dishes just come below 25min.. No fail, absolutely satisfied with the flavor, freshness and texture. Checked yes 6: dessert, I ordered chocolate souffle. Creamy, fluffy, not to sweet, combine with vanilla sauce & vanilla ice cream.. just perfect..

One of high-end steakhouse in Jakarta. The service was outstanding, server was fun and knowledgeable at same time understand well how to entertain customers.

Food was fantastic, but I have several disappointment because the quality didn’t match the price. Here’s several food I ordered: ❗️Lobster mac & cheese, the ultimate disappointment here. It literally tasted like instant mac & cheese with 2 pieces of “lobster”.

✨2 steaks: Rib eye & porterhouse, definitely too much for 3 person. But it tasted great and it cooked perfectly to our request.

✨Truffle fries, a must order carbo companion for steak (at least for me). The fries is crispy, not greasy at all, and very fragrant. It suits well with the steak.

❗️Creamy spinach, honestly it’s not my favorite. Yet my sister & brother loves it.

❗️Cheesecake, just a meh. Normal cheesecake you can find in another cheesecake store and I believe there are better ones out there.

✨Chocolate souffle was bombbbbbb. The chocolate melted inside combined with soft cake and ice cream. They used a more bitter chocolate (but I’m not really sure whether they’re using milk/dark chocolate), makes it enjoyable without getting bored.

Parking is easy as you have to valet in Elysee mall. Better to do reservation and they have dresscode of smart casual.
