Restaurant Review: Bebek’s Deep-Fried Duck, Nasi Goreng, and Prost Beer
Nestled in a charming corner of the city, Bebek restaurant offers an unforgettable culinary journey steeped in authentic flavors and expert craftsmanship. During my visit, I had the opportunity to indulge in their famous deep-fried duck, traditional Nasi Goreng, and Prost beer—a trifecta that left a lasting impression.
Deep-Fried Duck The deep-fried duck stole the spotlight. Perfectly cooked to a golden crisp, the skin crackled with every bite, giving way to tender, flavorful meat that was infused with aromatic spices. The seasoning was impeccable, balancing savory, slightly tangy, and earthy notes that showcased the chef’s skill. Paired with a zesty sambal and a side of fresh vegetables, it was an elevated take on a beloved classic.
Nasi Goreng Bebek’s Nasi Goreng was a delightful accompaniment to the duck. The fried rice was richly flavored with a medley of spices, soy sauce, and a hint of smokiness from the wok. It came with a perfectly fried sunny-side-up egg, slices of cucumber, and prawn crackers, offering a variety of textures in every bite. Each mouthful was a harmonious blend of sweet, savory, and umami flavors that captured the essence of Indonesian comfort food.
Prost Beer To round off the meal, Prost beer was the perfect companion. Its light and crisp profile complemented the rich flavors of the duck and rice without overpowering them. The slightly bitter finish was refreshing and balanced the indulgent elements of the meal, making it an excellent choice for both casual diners and beer enthusiasts.
Conclusion Bebek restaurant offers more than just a meal; it’s an experience that celebrates authentic flavors and culinary finesse. The deep-fried duck and Nasi Goreng were nothing short of spectacular, and Prost beer tied the meal together beautifully. Whether you’re a food connoisseur or simply in the mood for something comforting and satisfying, Bebek is...

We visited this café with high expectations but were very disappointed with the service. Here’s what happened during our visit: Dirty Table: Our table was outdoors and covered with debris, including bird droppings and dead insects. We asked twice for it to be cleaned. The first time, we were told, “Wait, of course, we’ll clean it,” but nothing happened. The second time, the waiter merely removed a napkin and a piece of paper but didn’t actually clean the table. Rushed and Inaccurate Order Taking: When the waiter came to take our order, he was already halfway to another table, trying to serve them at the same time. This led to an incorrect order — we requested two salads but received only one. Excessive Waiting Time: We waited around 40 minutes for a simple salad, which seems unreasonable. Order Errors: When the first salad finally arrived, we asked for the second one to be prepared without sauce, as the first had far too much. Despite this, the second salad arrived with sauce and had to be replaced. Lack of Attention: After the first salad and utensils were taken away, we had to remind the staff twice to bring us new utensils for the replacement salad. Slow Service for Everyone: Other guests nearby were also frustrated with slow service — waiting too long for menus, dishes, and even the bill. This happened despite the café not being fully booked, so the staff wasn’t overwhelmed.
While the food itself wasn’t bad, the service left a lot to be desired, especially given the 22% service and tax charge added to the bill. This experience certainly didn’t...
Read more"Ducks was as delicious as ubud, but service need improved" I have ate Bebek Bengil many times both at ubud and nusa dua, the crispy ducks are still the best i have ever ate in bali, but surrounding of nusa dua are totally different with that of ubud. You can enjoyed beautiful ricefield in ubud's Bebek Bengil, meanwhile you might find destroyed seaside trail in front of restaurent in nusa dua. I ate twice in ubud in 2014 and 2015, twice in nusa dua in 2015 and 2017. I have to say i like ubud more than nusa dua. Espcially last visit to nusa dua's Bebek Bengil in july 2017, the trail in front of the restaurent were destryed by tidal waves, but the owner seems do nothing to protect the customers who intended to visit. While my families and I jumped over some obstacles into the restaurent, the waiter said:" how can i help you", it seemed that we were not invited or welcomed. Untill we were lead to the tables, we finally found some kind receptance. The crispy duck is still delicious, but service need...
