have a mixed experience while eating here today, the food was super great, LOVEE their beef ponzu and the other beef sushi they had (forgot the name sorry). their staff was super nice but not at a certain moment.

me and my friend sat in front of the sushi train and there’s a foreigner sitting right next to me (i’m indonesian). at first he asked me, “oh do you mind if you move a little bit so my friend can sit next to me,” and i was totally fine with that. but then his friend came AGAIN and insisted if i could move AGAIN so they could sit next to each other. and the staff just smiled and kinda expected us to move all of our plates. in my opinion, that’s just not right.

i don’t get why the staff didn’t ask us first if we would like to move again? why just follow whatever the guy said? i already said “no, i cannot move, we already moved because of your friend,” but he kept saying stuff like “oh i’m just trying to make everyone happy” yadda yadda, and there was zero effort from the staff to even try to mediate the situation.

food’s honestly 10/10, but service could be better, especially when it comes to handling...

I was delighted to come across a sushi train in Bali. The interior had a Japanese vibe, and although the staff were Indonesian, they wore stylish uniforms like traditional Japanese sushi chefs. There was a wide variety of sushi and rolls, and I could see the effort put into recreating an authentic Japanese experience. The fish was fresh and thickly sliced, yet melted in my mouth without feeling heavy.

The downside was the kimchi udon, which was far too salty. Whether it was from too much hondashi, too much kimchi, or the combination of salty ingredients like mushrooms and seaweed, the flavor was overwhelmingly strong. The portion, especially the toppings, was also excessive. It might be better to reduce the quantity and price, serving it more as a side dish like in a real Japanese sushi shop. The saltiness is definitely something that needs improvement.

  • One more thing worth praising is their attempt at a new Japan–Indonesia fusion, like the combination of tuna and sambal matah, and it was...

4/5 on this one:

Ambient: The vibe is super nice, japanese atmosphere with great use of lights. Sushi’s passing by over the conveyor belt are super cool.

Service: Suuuper friendly staff, fast to take orders, even faster to deliver it. The cashier was super nice - gave me a rose after me and GF’s lunch :)

Food - Now is where we get serious: The food is of high quality and very enjoyable. The sushi is crafted with evident care and refined technique. Both the fish and other ingredients are notably fresh and flavorful. The shari (sushi rice) is well-seasoned and served at the right temperature, complementing the toppings harmoniously. The menu features distinctive offerings — such as beef nigiri, baby octopus sushi, and unagi — which add depth and interest to the overall experience. While the quality of execution is undeniably high, I’m rating it 4 out of 5 due to the pricing, which I found slightly elevated for the portion sizes, even considering the premium level...
