Food was fantastic. Service was incredible, setting was beautiful, and the wine was yum! 😍😍😍
They brought out crusty bread and dip to start. It was a nice size...not too much...but something to nibble on while we looked over the wine list.
Had a bottle of merlet 2015 reserva for 399k. I had read online that they had some less exspensive options for wine like 50k a glass for red... but 350k a bottle was the least pricey.... So some things online are wrong...😯 no way!
Our choice was well worth what we paid...but I wont be able to afford anymore wine next time...on a budget😭.
Then they brought a little one bite app...very yummy. Sorta like a mini pizza ball...if that makes sense?! 😂
We ordered the fried mozz with tomato sauce. Priced very well, and worth every penny. Crispy on the outside and soft and stringy on the inside...but the sauce ...oh the sauce made it next level good!
Had a half and half pizza ( love that this is an option by the way!) half eggplant parm, and half prochutto and burrata. Both were good..and I enjoyed every bite of the eggplant....but that burrata...OMG. I wouldnt order the eggplant one again..but thats just because it didnt stand out and there are so many more pizzas on the menu to try....the burrata...I will be having her again before I leave!
Also had a pasta with smokey bacon, peas and mushrooms. Nice flavor. Great texture. Good portion size. Personally I like mine with a bit more sauce....but this may have been a more authentic italian style and the flavor was incredible so whatever!
Lastly they gave us a shot of lemony goodness. 😉
The restaurant is very dark at night and I love that! There are candles and low lights everywhere so you can see, but its just so nice not having bright lights at dinner!
You feel like you can sip your wine and take your time...its so cozy...and all the staff are so warm and inviting.
Honestly its the best food I have had here ...and the best service. The staff really makes it above and beyond amazing. Highly reccomend.
😍😍😍😍
Update: went a second time. Had veggie star pizza ....so nice! Also had the creamy seafood gnocci...yup...amazing. Had two different white wines and both were dissapointing. I dont know what it was ....they had zero acidity, and taste very very muted...almost watered down. The pinot grigio and Sauv Blanc tasted almost the same.... It was weird. Staff were excellent again. Tiramisu in a jar...meh. didnt like it. Too much marscapone ... Also boyfriend hates food in jars 😭😭😭. Still best place to...

To start, our dinner at La Baracca was fantastic! The staff was amazing, attentive, and friendly and our food was wonderful as usual.
I want to seriously commend the manager, Julia, and all the staff working tonight when we were dining.
Here’s what happened- and I know this because the woman (Sheena) proceeded to shout so loud that the entire garden of probably 40 people heard what was going on. Apparently she had booked a party of 16 one month ago- they had her table with plenty of space prepared inside when they arrived. She was not happy with this and wanted it in the garden. Now- it’s rainy season and earlier tonight it was raining, so clearly they did this to ensure a better experience.
I have never in my life witnessed someone behaving like Sheena did in a restaurant. She immediately started demanding free drinks while, again, shouting so loudly that every eye in the restaurant was on her every time she stood up (which was a lot because she didn’t stop complaining for the 2 hours we were there). It got to the point that she made an entire party of 10, who were already eating, get up and move so she could have what she wanted. Several of Sheena’s friends were coming to our table and apologizing on her behalf and telling us they were mortified. The way this woman treated the staff of La Baracca was despicable.
I write all this to say- the staff handled it with absolute class, granted her wishes as quickly as humanly possible with a full garden, and gave her the free drinks she wanted. If a negative review comes from this experience please do not pay it any mind. Stellar crew working there and can’t...
Read moreDon't go here! It's an absolute scam, hyped up by hipsters, influences and food bloggers who've never tasted a good pizza and have never been to Italy. The service is horrible, the chairs and tables are worse and, most importantly, the pizza's are mediocre at best.
People who say this place has great pizza's, probably have Domino's as their best reference. But by that standard my shoe lace would still score a 7 out of 10.
Additional: Most important, the pizza's: too much dough on the side, soggy in the middle, cheese not fully melted and they were not hot enough.
We waited way too long to be seated at a table, then got a teeny tiny table. My gf is 1,60 and even for her it was too small (the table didn't fit both our plates at the same time, and our knees kept bumping into each other, while still 30cm away from the table). When we asked to be seated at a slightly bigger table that had just opened up the staff stopped us, saying it was reserved for a party of 3. And five minutes later 2 guys showed up and were seated at that table. The third one never came. The staff didn't ask how the food was and couldn't even care when I told them I didn't like the service nor the food. When a customer tells you they've had a bad experience and you don't even listen... That says it all.
We didn't have enough cash on us, so we paid by creditcard, but otherwise I would have deducted the 5% service fee they charged. It...
