Either this just wasn't my day or people simply don't know what a good croissant is. I mean they do look good, but that's about it. I took away three, and all of them - equally bad, super dry, almost stale (one star for each). I was suspicious of the brownish look of the almond one when taking it, but hoped it was designed to be like that, idk "fancy" Ulu style. Nope. It turned out to be burned and dry and with stale crumpled cream inside. Tbh, it did look like they were just warming my croissants up again and again for a few days. That's probably the first time in my life I wouldn't finish a croissant, and I love them too much and have them too rarely not to share my disappointment. That's a crime against french pastries. Read moreWe’ve been loyal customers of this bakery for over five years, visiting every time we’re in Uluwatu. It was always a highlight of our trip — especially the pies, sausage rolls, and pasties.
Unfortunately, over the past year, the quality has noticeably declined. The pasties, once light and flaky, are now heavy and doughy. The meat in the pies has become chewy, and the seasoning feels off — no longer balanced or satisfying.
It’s disappointing to see such a great bakery lose its consistency. I truly hope it returns to the standard it once had, and if it does, I’ll be more than happy to revise...

My favorite is always their blueberry muffin ! They are extra buttery, soft and moist. If blueberry muffins are your favorite, you have to try The Bakery. The flavors are endless and hold the crown.
Prices also very reasonable. Service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommend.
