The Loft — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

Choosing a chilled breakfast place in Uluwatu area is always challenging only because there are lots to choose from. The Loft was perfect for us for the following reasons: PLACE - spacious, homey feel, high ceilings, and minimal echo of chatters during the busy morning SERVICE - as soon as you sit down, a bottle of water, menu and a smile were given by the wait staff, any waitstaff knew what they are selling, not many were lingering around talking to each other, always ready to serve you FOOD - great choice of savoury classics (i had the salmon rösti and my partner had shaksouka), sweet options, and smoothie bowls which you see across all cafes in the island. Had pain au chocolat which was also amazing. BEVERAGE - simple yet great choices of fresh healthy mixed juices (recommend the basil ginger lime and green juice), the coffee was smooth and of course using local blend of Bali Kintamani and Aceh Gayo. When in Bali why brew imported beans when you have the best ones sourced locally? ATMOSPHERE - the vibe is less pretentious unlike other cafes in the area, chilled and relaxing, music was not too loud too, here you find a comfortable crowd as opposed to a ‘i wanna look effortlessly good’ crowd 😬 MINOR FEEDBACK - Noticed that the pastry display chiller was tucked in the left hand corner of the bar by the wall, it may entice customers if it was more visible towards the center where current POS system is stationed. Today we visited The Loft in Uluwatu , because of the good Reviews on the Internet. First of all it was crowed, but the employees, were super friendly and fast helping the new guests and also the ones that already been there. We chose to have some late breakfast and unfortunately we were a little unlucky today with the performance of my choice of food. It can happen we talked to the staff and it was exchanged without complaining.

A little later my girlfriend also had an issue with her drink because there were some ants in it - but it and also this was perfectly handled by this lovely service team - she got it exchanged.

We felt really sorry to make the day harder for these hardworking friendly staff, but everything went well in the end and we will definitely come back soon.

We can also recommend this place to everyone. Also we saw many people working remote so the connection of the internet seemed very well too.

The music wasn’t to loud and the air was comfortable inside - with a slight breeze - for a warm 30° day.

Went there with my friend today because she often went there. It wasn't a busy hour and we were pretty hungry, so we found our seat, handed the menu and served a bottle of still water. After a few minutes, we decided to order The Loft Burger and Creamy Spaghetti (instead of Fettuccine) and brownies. Order was taken and repeated to us then we waited...after about almost an hour sitting there, drinking water and talking, I realized that it's been too long we waited and hadn't received our foods yet and my friend noticed that the other customers who came half an hour after us already had their foods. So we called a waiter (a different one) and asked. We've been told that apparently the orders weren't even taken yet and asked us if we wanted to make the order now. We decided to leave and the waiter apologized to us. What baffled me is that how come, we had been sitting there for almost an hour with an empty table and nobody even came to check us, it wasn't even busy (only about 4 other couples besides us). Needless to say my friend and I won't come to this...
