The most impressive experience in Bali.
We ordered spring rolls, calamari, grilled prawns, and nasigoreng with seafood, and they were all satisfying to me.
1The spring rolls were not Vietnamese original style, but they seemed to use fresh ingredients that could be found locally. Both the spring rolls and calamari were fried in fresh oil and were crispy on the outside with a juicy inside. The grilled prawns were priced per 1kg, but we were able to order in 500g increments, which was enough for two people. The nasi goreng was one of the best we've had in Bali - not too salty, and the sauce was served separately, allowing us to adjust the flavor to our liking.
The service was also very friendly, and it seemed like a family-run restaurant. The prices were very reasonable, and the quality was much better than the price suggested. With two bottles of Bintang and one dragon fruit juice, our total bill was IDR 324,000.
Additionally, the view and atmosphere were great, and we enjoyed listening to the sound of the waves crashing over 1,000 times while we finished our...
Read moreVery disappointing experience at Warung The Bangsal. We were told the food would be ready in 15–20 minutes, but it actually took almost 50 minutes. The rice was hard, the stir-fried kangkung was tough and served in a very small portion, and the sambal was barely given.
The fish didn’t taste fresh at all, the texture was hard, almost like frozen fish. After being filleted, the portion became very small; even though we ordered 1 kg of fish, it was nowhere near enough for two people. At IDR 165,000, it was definitely not worth it, we even left still feeling hungry.
Everything served came in such small portions, giving the impression that the place is very stingy in presentation. On top of that, the restaurant was quiet, which makes me think the low turnover is why the fish wasn’t fresh. Overall, a very disappointing dining experience and I would NOT Recommend...

The complexity it takes to cook to perfection, yet, keeping the dishes to its purest form.
Best food discovery in Uluwatu & Jimbaran. Go here. Eat here, enjoy the family and the music in the background.
Once you’ve had 2 bites to many, as it is all to tasty to not eat, enjoy a slow stroll at the beach, walking off the amazing food.
On top of all of that, the prices are very, véry, affordable - compared to the many other warungs and fish restaurants around the area.
Hungry for more. Don’t believe me for my words, go taste and...
