KU DE TA — Restaurant in Kuta

Phenomenal experience from the moment you approach the stairs to the second you leave. Food and mocktails were extraordinary and a class above everything else we’ve enjoyed across Bali over 2 weeks. Ku De Ta are in a class of their own, from the aforementioned drinks and food (we dropped in for a quick mocktail and stayed for hours, enjoying 4 mocktails), going home, then returning hours later for dinner. Ku De Ta was the complete package. A visit here is not something you quickly forget.

Kudos and warm thanks to the manager and his plethora of well trained staff who addressed both my wife and I by name throughout the night. However, service was never overbearing. A pleasant pause between drinks and ensuing courses was almost perfectly timed on each occasion. Only the best restaurants get this right and this only contributed to the fantastic time we had. I cannot speak more highly of the staff here.

We enjoyed each of the many mocktails on the menu ($70k), Octopus ($150k), prawn curry ($270k), 200g Angus Striploin steak served medium rare en-pointe ($520k) and truffle & parmesan triple cooked rustic potatoes ($90k), all perfect and generously sized. The potatoes are not to be missed. Complimentary focaccia bread is served, and a small pallet cleanser iced tea and syrup welcome drink was also enjoyed.

Unfortunately our dessert stomach warned us not to proceed any further, so tonight we will return for more.

Only suggestive comment is the volume of the music and bass, it influenced us to sit as far away from the DJ as possible, we even turned down phenomenal tables to do so. That said, the music is very good and perfect for Ku De Ta - I only wish it was dialed down a touch.
