I’m just sharing my opinion and not saying the place is bad in anyway. But when you moved from a crowded touristy Kuta full of ozzy folks drinking cheap bintang all day long into some sort of prestigious laid-back residential area, you have to adjust. First no from me is for disappointing wine list where you serve only local wine obviously overcharging for a glass (one bottle is under Rp 200K retail price and you want Rp 95++ for a glass of Isola, local wine, or Two Island, locally made - either are below average, causing headaches and tasting meh). While all neighbors have a decent selection of imported wines and charge about the same or cheaper - take La Casetta, Bistrot, Pizza Farbriza, and others, even Warung Dua, by no means fancy or stylish, sorry guys. Maybe it’s time to change your supplier, there are hips of them better than IndoWines. Second no is for your selection of beer. We got used to craft beer and it’s easy to get Kura-Kura, Island Brewery or 101 on tap. Easy, just call and they bring it. We leave Bintang and Heineken for cheap tourists, while drinking quality craft products (no offense to those still drinking Bintang, but it isn’t a good beer made with preservatives for longevity). Finally, while portions are of a huge size and very reasonably priced, I would prefer having them smaller by 1/3 but cooked with better ingredients in a more creative way. Otherwise, sorry, but either Nostimo or El Greco would remain my choice for Greek food in our neighborhood. The service was very attentive. Portions huge. The place was empty except me and another guy dining solo. Says a lot. Wish you can improve, so no need driving...
Read moreWould highly recommend. Great atmosphere and great food. Normally I’m hassled by waiting staff to go into restaurants but instead the front of house staff smiled at me as I walked by and said hi.
I was given a choice of indoor/outdoor table, the band playing were amazing and the atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious! I was asked for my drink order within a few minutes, and asked for my food order only a few minutes later. While I was waiting for my food I was given some toasted bread with garlic, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I had the mixed meat skewer which came with fries and salad. The meat was cooked perfectly, the accompanying vegetables were juicy and had a lovely flavour, and the spiralized carrot and beetroot salad had a delicious dressing that perfectly complimented the meat.
I paid 95,000IDR for my main course and after tasting it, I’d have happily paid...
Read moreShould've been 5 stars, this old gem pleasantly delicious and set nicely in the heart of seminyak. It's been there forever and it still share the "classic" seminyak vibe. We ordered 2 starters chickpeas salad and some dip with feta and tomato puree which was fantastic! My friend's wrap also fantastic. The service are super friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately my main course, pictured here, grilled fish with creamy white wine sauce is waaaaay too salty and the fish is a bit overcooked and the meat became hard to chew 😔 Which was bit of anticlimax after all the welcome bread, great apetizers, great service and ambience until i must deal with this... Hope next time you can cook this better and keep the meat tender without overdosing it with too much salt. Hence I gave...
