McDonald's - Sarinah — Restaurant in Malang

The food great. As Mcdonald in every country has their own signature. In Indonesia they have rice and chicken. Mc Donald Sarinah Malang though is one of the oldest fast food joint in Malang. Since 1990, I remember big traditional festival being held. Like parade of Indonesian legendary queen, nyi Roro Kidul and Reog dance for this 'new' restaurant in Town. At that time people only look the "clown" in television. And now have been years and still going strong. Well i do think they need go back to 1990 though if they want to be more zero waste as now they dont provide straw to decrease waste yet the drink and food plate still plastic. In 1990 like real restaurant they provide real plate, with spoon, fork and glass for the drinks. The only downside about the taste is that the chicken taste souless and the fries too much salt. Yet people still eat it though. But you better proof yourselves so that Mc Donald will have good constructive critism through customer reviews. Yet the place is grand, very strategic and many charging outlet. Tips and trick is download the mcdonald Indonesian application and redeem your vouchers. Because ovo here only provide expensive voucher, you can pay by go pay but no cashback for payment below 50,000 rupiah. Sorry I am just stating the facts. Plus, the parking fee for cars are 6,000 rupiah, motor bike 4,000. Higher even by Jakarta standard. So, if you are students or backpacker just use the mcdonald official apps and pay it with cash or bank card like Mandiri card or Permata. The place is very strategic though, with walking distance you can go to Alun-Alun Central City Park which is very fresh and clean, Legendary Dutch Style, Toko Oen, GPIB legendary Christian Church, Catolic Church, Big Mosque and others small Malls such as Malang Plaza, Gajahmada Plaza, Sarinah Plaza, etc. The have Gramedia book store accross the street also. Update 23 September 2019: sekarang di sini ada mesin self service. Kalian bisa order melalui sebuah layar sentuh yang ada di dekat kasir. Pembayaran bisa menggunakan kartu debit maupun kredit (berlogo visa, mastercard, jcb), gopay, link aja, cashbac dan tunai. Pesan secara manual seperti biasa di kasir juga masih bisa.

Tempatnya keren. Ramai di jam-jam makan. Pelayanan oke. Pegawai cukup ramah.
