Location: Nusa Lembongan, Bali, Indonesia. If you are on vacation on the island of Nusa Lembongan, the "Little Prema" stall can be an alternative for lunch or dinner.
Almost all restaurants near tourist attractions serve western cuisine, one time you will feel bored, want to try the authentic food of the area you are visiting.
“Little Prema” serves Balinese specialties. You can choose “Mixed Rice, Fish Meatballs and Grilled Fish” with “Sambal Matah”.
If you order "Nasi Campur" you can order "Fish Meatballs". As well. Its good combination of crunchy and savory you get in Mix Rice and chewy in Fish Meatball, so yummy! fresh gravy complete your meal!
You can choose the grilled fish, the shop owner keeps it in a large freezer at the back of the shop. You can choose it to be cooked to your liking. The “sambal matah” is really delicious!
The shop owner is very friendly and doesn't hesitate to share recipes that I like, especially “Sambal Matah”. The combination is really on point, salty, savory, spicy, sour!
This stall treats my boredom with western cuisine that is often found in Nusa Lembongan, Bali.
The location is very easy to find on the Jungutbatu highway. You can use google map with points corresponding...
Read moreThis was the first restaurant that we ate at after arriving on Nusa Lembongan. Unfortunately, it's an open-air restaurant, and there was someone burning off wood next door, so the whole place was full of smoke during our meal. This made it hard to breathe, and irritated my eyes. There was also the constant fumes from cars & bikes passing nearby, as well as the smoke from the wood grill. Not pleasant !
But on to the food; We had the grilled parrot fish and grilled prawns. Both dishes came with separate plates with rice and vegetables. Both dishes were cooked well, and tasted great, and both cost around the 100k-120k rupiah mark. Only criticism would be that both dishes needed more sauce. We also had a fresh coconut juice, & avocado juice. Total bill was around 270k Rupiahs. There's plenty of seating available, and it did fill up a bit by the time we left, at around 7.30p.m. They also have a very popular pre-cooked selection in a display cabinet.
Pros: reasonably priced. Good taste. Freshly cooked.
Cons: THE SMOKE !! Slow service. Lack of sauce.
Conclusion: The food was great, just needed a bit more sauce.... but I wouldn't come back again if that smoke was still blowing through...
Read moreTerrible hygiene. I've been backing all over Asia and my standards have dropped a lot and initially I ordered the fish meal. I was there with my partner and we told her we wanted to share. Thankfully she decided to show us the fish because she wanted to make us pay 1/3 more because she said it was big. The fish was big but incredible old looking the eyes were completely sunken and the pink and white skin was turning black. We quickly told her we changed our minds and ordered the fried rice not to be rude but we should have left. She the then left the fish on a box and it got covered with flies after like 15 mins she put it back in her ice box. She never washes her hands after touching the old fish. If I get sick it's my fault. Walk up the road a little but if you are here on vacation don't risk it. She gets a lot of business from the locals this a local restaurant. Be smart...
