my recent dining experience in here left me absolutely delighted. from the beginning to finish, every meal was delicious and exceptional. the restaurant’s inviting a calming ambience and attentive staff set the stage for a remarkable culinary journey. the menu in here is a masterpiece and unforgettable. each plate arrived at my table was a work of art by sight and flavor. the quality of ingredients was evident every bite, leaving a lasting impression. the decor is tastefully elegant, with warm lighting, contemporary artwork, and comfortable seating arrangements that create a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. the attentive staff greeted me with genuine warmth, setting the stage for what turned out to be an exceptional dining adventure. not only was the food outstanding, but the service was also impeccable. the knowledgeable staff guided us through the menu, providing insightful recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was flawless. their attention to detail and genuine hospitality truly elevated the evening. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking a culinary adventure, Balinese Home Cooking is a must-visit. With its exquisite dishes, warm ambience, and impeccable service, it stands out as one of the finest dining establishments in town. the service was also impeccable. in terms of value, Balinese Home Cooking is worth every penny. such a memorable...

This was our first time to eat at Balinese Home Cooking and enjoyed a truly wonderful dining experience. As the name of the restaurant implies this is a family run business and offers local dining at its finest! The menu was diverse with plenty of entrees featuring pork, seafood, chicken, beef and vegetarian. I had tuna in a savory sauce with all kinds of local spices accompanied by turmeric yellow rice and it was excellent! My husband enjoyed fresh cooked prawns with vegetables and his was also beautifully seasoned and excellent as well. We enjoyed these amazing drinks made with Arak, a local Balinese liquor similar to Mexican Mezcal. Mine was made with fresh mint leaves and my husband’s was made with fresh passion fruit and they both were both delicious and one was enough! The owner and cook (Ketut) came out and visited with us and told us how his entire family help out with the business. As we sat there it began to rain very hard so he and his son drove us back to our nearby hotel which was very kind. It’s not very often that you encounter a truly, local, authentic place that offers such amazing food, beverage and service in a beautiful and clean setting. We will definitely come back to this place on our next...

Absolutely the best Balinese food in Ubud! The family compound is traditional, and open to tours of Balinese home lifestyle. The restaurant is small so bookings are a must, and it is worth the effort. The flavours are fantastic and although there can be a wait between courses this is only because everything is freshly made with care and love, perfectly balanced and cooked to high quality standards. Don't be scared of ordering chicken, clean white meat bursting with spices and flavour is what you can expect. The owner Ketut is lovely and explains that his son spent time cooking in Australia learning all about western standards of food safety and hygiene. Contrary to most restaurants, it is also a non-smoking dining experience. Sit in the beautiful garden (as always be aware that mosquitoes love Ubud as much as you will) and relax, enjoy meeting the family and other travellers as you experience an evening of delicious food in a traditional family compound. Not intended for a quick bite, so if you're in a hurry maybe choose a more suitable time when you can forget time and be present and enjoy your dining experience. Very well priced, 2 entrees, 2 mains, a juice, coke, and two large Bintang cost us...

I received a really nice welcome. The waitress started by saying thank you for coming and visiting their family restaurant = WOW,,it’s such a great way to welcome new guests to your establishment. Just follow the signs as the restaurant is just up the back. You may past people painting and working on their art pieces which was great to see. It’s a nice tranquil relaxing environment in which to enjoy some amazing home cooked meals. The menu is very well described and illustrated so it’s great for those that need help with Balinese cuisine. I chose to order the Soto Ayam soup as l had just finished a 2hr massage and this soup was perfect, cleansing and nourishing. Then l followed this up with Nasi campuh Ayam. Both the dishes were packed full of delicious flavours and you could really taste and feel the time & effort that’s placed into each dish. Excellent ingredients, kind, happy staff and a beautiful setting to enjoy your meal in. Thank you đŸ™đŸ» Authentic cuisine made with pure LOVE and excellent ingredients.

We ordered their dishes on Grabfood, and it was still amazingly delicious upon delivery! Soup Ayam (8/10) Fragrant chicken soup with aromatic vegetables such as celery, lemon grass, and onions, accompanied by carrots, potato, vermicelli, and minced chicken. The strong flavours brought a twist beyond the usual chicken soup. Nasi Campur Bali (10/10) Spectacular dish with so many different flavours, and textures. From the fluffy rice, tender satay, juicy meatball, slightly crisp omelette with corn, prawn fritter, crunchy sweet savoury tempeh, curry eggplant, tauhu with nutty satay sauce, grilled chicken, soft gourd, and a meddley of vegetables, every bite was delightful. Mixing, and matching the sides created a variety of flavours. Lumpia (7/10) Simple fried springrolls stuffed with minced meat, vermicelli, vegetables, and served with a sweet chilli dipping sauce. We had some crispy parts, but they were mostly soggy from the delivery.
