We are greatful to have picked this hotel throughout our stay in Bali. Rooms were clean, food was delicious, but overall the service and kindness that was given to us throughout our stay was the most memorable. I want to give a special thanks to Ita Dewi, Pasek Sujantara, Astiti Dewi, Yoga, Miss Okta, and Santika Putra. Ita was very kind to us, she went above and beyond when she saw my wife struggling to remove a splinter she had embedded within her palm. Ita took the time to retrieve tweezers and a first aid kit to properly help my wife remove the splinter. Ita is very professional and attentive; she memorized my breakfast order for the remaining of our stay and would ensure that our drinks would arrive promptly. Ita also spent her time to sing along with me to an Indonesian song I had learned while my stay in Bali. She helped me perfect my pronunciation and explained the meaning of the song. I will never forget her warm smile and the thumbs up she gave us everytime I would search for her behind the counter. Pasek was very friendly and observant, he would ensure that our food and coffee would reach our table quickly and efficiently. He would spend time with us every morning to tell us stories, teach us about the balinese culture, and answer any questions we had about Bali. During BBQ Night, I was struggling to carry 2 plates of food up to my room and before I even asked someone for help, Pasek came to help me with the plates. Pasek is also very telented with his Cappuccino Latte Art, as he practices outside of work to improve on his skills. Astiti was so kind, she memorized my order for breakfast and would already know what to get for me. She is also great with children, as we observed her many times providing special care for guest's children during breakfast. Yoga has the friendliest smile in the entire world. He was extremly kind to my wife and I. Yoga told us many stories about his culture and provided suggestions for some of our activities in Bali. We actually bumped into Yoga while walking around the streets of Bali. When Yoga saw us walking by his home, he invited us inside with open arms and provided us with fruit and water. We got to meet his lovely family and we had the opportunity to see his beautiful place of worship. Miss Okta was very sweet and respectful to both my wife and I. Even though dining at this hotel is an open Buffet set-up, Miss Okta would offer to get more food for me to bring to our table so that I wouldn't have to get out of my seat. Miss Okta is also very friendly and great with children. We observed as guest's children would wave or run up to Ms Okta for a hug. Finally, Santika was very friendly and helpful to both of us. One morning while my wife was struggling to use the juice extractor machine, Santika took the time to teach her how to use the machine. For the remaining of our stay Santika would personally prepare the juice for my wife, so she wouldn't have to worry about making it. The entire staff at this hotel is the best. I have nothing, but positive comments for my 10 day stay at this hotel. Meeting this entire staff was the highlight of my trip; they made us feel welcomed and cared for.
To the Sens Hotel Managing Staff, please value and care after these employees as they are the heart of your business. I hope all of them are able to receive great compensation for the way they treat your guests. Terima kasih semuanya, aku akan selalu menyimpan kalian di hatiku. Semoga kita bertemu lagi suatu hari nanti....
Read moreThe hotel is conveniently located in the center of Ubud and is at walking distance from all attractions within Ubud town. The hotel has an interesting color theme, while all facilities are very modern, and the hotel is super clean. The rooms are small yet have modern and comfortable furnishing, and have all the amenities. The bathrooms are small. The pool is right in the middle of all the rooms so not ideally located. Gym and spa are pretty modern as well. The breakfast has a decent amount of options. Staff are super nice and welcoming. Overall great value for money and would definitely recommend this place. Detailed review of rooms and facilities is provided below:
Location: Very centrally located, and has all facilities including restaurants, convenience stores, late night food eateries, and taxi stand at a walking distance. Moreover, other Ubud attractions and markets are also within 15 minute walk.
Rooms: The rooms have a new and comfortable bed with lots of pillows. There is a sofa seat and a study table and chair as well. The phone is placed on the study table which is a little far from bed. There is a small flat screen TV as well. The room has plenty of modern electrical sockets including the bed side as well as around the room. There is a fridge, and a drawer with proper china cutlery for in room dining. There is a separate closet with 5 drawers and hanging space, also a nice newer steam iron and ironing board. The room is slightly congested once the luggage fits in.
Bathroom: The bathroom is very cramped and small in size. It has glass wall and a curtain to get some privacy, not very ideal. The bathroom door opens in the room which is also tough if someone is there. The fittings are modern, water pressure on the ground floor was nice. Basic amenities and toiletries are provided on hotel packing.
Breakfast: The restaurant seems a little small to hold majority of hotel guests at the same time. The breakfast spread is decent, neither big nor small. Almost has the basic breakfast items, the fruits were fresh. It also has a fresh juice station where you can squeeze fresh vegetable juice.
Facilities: The pool looks more like a decorative pond and is literally in the middle of the hotel, not ideal. The gym has nice newer machines but is small in size and also felt cramped.
Staff: The staff are super nice and warm people. They are very helpful and make all efforts to serve you well. This includes check in, house keeping, restaurant staff at breakfast, as well as...
Read moreThere is only one night left and we are leaving :( But there is only one word to describe our stay in this hotel and that is "AMAZING!"
Before we come to Bali, I booked 3 different hotels which I canceled later on. I was so indecisive, didn't know which one is the best.
When I was in the midst of looking for a hotel I had 3 things in mind one is its gotta be affordable, second is it should have a excellent service and third is great location.
I have done my researched, I have read lots and lots of reviews about different hotels in Ubud and finally decided that we are staying in SENS.
We arrived at the hotel really late, as in midnight. We were welcomed by the staff who gave us refreshment snack and a drink. He made the paper work as quick as possible as he said, it's really late and he wanted us to have a rest.
As we enter our room, it was so nice, clean and smell good! We're absolutely satisfied.
The next 3-4 days were amazing. The buffet breakfast was a thumbs up! We really enjoyed the food. We liked that they introduced to us some of Indonesian drinks and food such as those yummy indonesian cakes, and jamu drinks! I enjoyed the congee station too and the freshly cooked omelette. :)
Me and my husband also made sure we won't missed the afternoon tea. It was really good to have something to eat after a long day of touring and shopping. They served little cakes, jelly, samosa with juice or tea of our choice.
One thing that is really good too is the location. The Ubud market, few temples, museum, Monkey Forest are just walking distance from the hotel and it is surrounded by lots and lots of restaurants and cafes.
But the most thing we liked about this hotel is the excellent service of the staff. Not a single time they forgot to wear their smiles. They are very accommodating and helpful. They always make sure we are being served and attended. They maintained our room nice and clean. The staff from the front desk, to the Cafe and to those in charged in cleaning rooms, they have absolutely provided an excellent service! I really hope the the owner of this hotel value the staff because for me it's them who made the hotel extra special.
If we are going back to Ubud maybe for another short stay, we will definitely come back to this...
