I visited Bali with my husband for our honeymoon. We stayed in Bali for ten nights in different regions of the island (Ubud, Manggis, and Jimbaran). We ate out at a restaurant or at our hotel for every meal and our dinner at Ijen was by far the best meal we had on our trip! We ordered the ā€œAll Inā€ seafood sampler as a starter and the grilled snapper with creamed corn and roasted potatoes and everything blew us away! We really appreciated the freshness of all the seafood and the flavors that enhanced its freshness and integrity rather than overwhelm it. Another plus was that the wine (bottle of New Zealand rosĆ©) was very pleasant and a great accompaniment for our meal. Finally, the service was warm, welcoming, and attentive. We never once paused to wonder where our server could have gone — water and wine were consistently topped off and plates were cleared like clockwork before the new dishes arrived — the way you’d wish every restaurant would aim to be like! I would say Ijen is Michelin worthy (if you subscribe to that rating scheme)! Thanks to the wonderful kitchen and wait staff for a fabulous last night in Bali that we will...

Potato head newest member in the family "Injen" the concept of the restaurant is 0 waste. Starting from the floor of the restaurant, table, glass, even their coster. They shared that the kitchen is cooking without gas and electricity. Menu is wide range of seafood items and it is freshly caught everyday. For start they serve us cracker that is made from the fish scale that normally people will throw it away to garbage, but they made it so nice. A bit of spicy and full of flavor. To continue with appetizer they serve a octopus, beans salad, otak2 (the best otak2 I have ever had, seriously...!!! ). For main dish a fillet of grill baramundi top with serundeng and grill prawn and the last meal was chocolate cream brullee top with jamu sorbet (beras kencur). Never thought that chocolate and jamu work well together. Overall experience it was a great, from the service, ambiance and the food that is serve. Congratulations on the...

Originally we had just gone to Potato Head for a few cocktails and to enjoy the sunset by the pool but decided to dine here on a whim.

The prices were high for Bali but less than half the price of similar quality meal back in Australia . It came to about 900,000 for food and drinks.

We ordered a whole fish of the day grilled with a chilli butter sauce 480,000. Grilled clams, a side of the potatoes and grilled romaine lettuce with a bottle of sparkling water.

The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The music was still pleasant ambient beach music when we were eating, around 6 PM, and hadn’t yet become pulsating club music like some other reviewers complained of.

The food was all very fresh, well presented, and well flavoured. The portion sizes were good without being huge.

The four dishes were ample for the two of us.

It was a nice ending to a day at Potato Head and for my wife’s...

Honestly Ijen’s food itself isn’t that spectacular, the pizza barely contains any cheese and the pepperonis ate halved and not great. The pizza base is wet and slimy ewwwww. The ice cream is expensive but just tastes like a 1k ice cream tbh but they selling it for so high. The kÅ«mara taste hard and salty but the sauce is nice and munchy, they have a clean restaurant collaborating with potato head itself. The area it’s located in is pretty nice but the beach is so overcrowded and overrated so dirty and I don’t understand why people like Bali’s beaches so much. The building style is fine and nice. We had to ask for the potato head menu because they were only offering 1 menu and we had 4 people. We got the best drink in Bali, called Indo calypso or something. It’s sweet and sour with a refreshing spark in my mouth. Everything else is 2 stars.
