I recently had the misfortune of visiting pasta pojok and I must say, it was an incredibly disappointing experience. While the pizza itself was undeniably delicious, the overall service left much to be desired. Allow me to elaborate on my frustrating encounter.
First and foremost, the staff's rudeness was simply astonishing. It's as if they were determined to make my visit as unpleasant as possible. When I kindly requested one more beer after closing time, their attitude was downright dismissive and condescending. Instead of trying to accommodate a simple request, they made it clear that they had no intention of going the extra mile to satisfy a paying customer.
Now, I understand that establishments have policies and guidelines, but I fail to comprehend how fetching a single beer was such an insurmountable task. It was disheartening to witness their lack of customer-oriented behavior and unwillingness to provide even basic service. Is it too much to expect a modicum of professionalism?
To make matters worse, the dismissive demeanor of the staff overshadowed the otherwise mouthwatering pizza. While I admit that the pizza was undeniably delicious, it's essential to remember that a restaurant's success relies not only on the quality of its food but also on the overall dining experience. Unfortunately, pizza pojok failed miserably in that regard.
As a customer, I value establishments that prioritize customer satisfaction and go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. Regrettably, this was not the case at pizza pojok. The staff's discourteous behavior and their unwillingness to accommodate a simple request for another beer have left me with a sour taste in my mouth—quite literally and figuratively.
In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend pizza pojok to anyone seeking a truly enjoyable dining experience. While their pizza may be delectable, the lack of basic courtesy and service ultimately overshadowed any potential culinary enjoyment. Until they prioritize customer satisfaction and exhibit more professional behavior, I will be taking my...
Read moreCan't understand the good rating this place has. The pasta was really overcooked, despite the fact they asked how we want our pasta to be cooked. (Nobody understood the concept of 'al dente',so we explained it in easy words, they said "yes, okay", but we still got overcooked pasta). The carbonara was just spaghetti with some sour sauce with few pieces of bacon. Ravoli taste wasn't bad, but it was extremely soft. Also asked for extra rucola for pasta, again they said yes, but then brought it without, so I asked again and then they just said they are out of it (it seemed they just didn't bother).
UPDATE: Since I cannot reply to the owners message, I am just replying to the owner here: No, I am not one of your competitors. If you can't take any criticism, maybe you should not work in the restaurant industry. All I said is true and happened in Pasta Pojok Trawagan (For some reason the owner keeps asking everyone with a bad rating where did they eat 🤷). My comment is not useless as you say, it might help some visitors not to choose this place. Honestly I did not try any other pasta places on the island, because I didn't have high expectations for them. I did expect a lot from you, because as you say you make fresh pasta and consider yourself real italian place, but it was really disappointing. You may be italian, but that doesn't make you a good chef. You may also know what 'al dente' means, but if you have waitresses asking if I want my pasta "medium or well done" and they don't know what al dente means, then it is not your fault, but you should educate your waitresses.
I have been to Italy many times and I know very well what is a good Italian food and this was not. Maybe it was just a bad day and you weren't even working, I don't know that. All I know that my experience was bad and I am not...
Read moreWow so… I don’t often post google reviews. If ever. My husband really wanted pizza and saw that Pasta Pojok had gluten free pasta. I am Celiac and have been struggling on these little islands. I wasn’t convinced that it would be any good as I’m also vegan and there wasn’t any vegan cheese (I usually plaster my pasta with it). I was very pleasantly surprised! My GF pasta with eggplant had THE BEST sauce and most authentic tasting pasta I’ve ever had… (im from NZ, lived in Australia/UK and have travelled a lot through Europe etc etc) - so that’s a big complement. They even gave us a lovely bit of GF focaccia with olive oil/balsamic. They were the first to take my allergy seriously on Gili which means a lot, I also have a chronic illness (lupus) that flares up when I’m contaminated. Service (sorry didn’t catch your name) was fantastic - attentive and knowledgeable about allergies. Only thing missing is wine (would have gone so well with the beautiful meal!). But honestly hardly noticed. Thank you! I hope you become...
