Very disappointing visit here today. Been in brick lane before for brunch and it was fabulous, today however I was very disappointed with both food and service. We sat ourselves down as there seemed to be no staff around. After getting comfy I decided to grab a couple of food menus. We sat there for 15 minutes, while 3 separate staff members walked passed us and asked the same table if they had ordered (three times), while we sat there with nothing but menus in front of us. A couple of girls who came in way after us and sat two tables from us got served before us until we finally had enough and ordered at the bar. Ordered steak sandwiches which were also a disappointment. The steak was very tough, couldn't eat it, left half of it behind. Based on my first experience I was quite excited for my meal today but unfortunately it was a very sad experience. Moreover, a couple of girls who came in shortly before we finished eating what we could, and sat on the table next to us, were still waiting to get served 15 minutes later when we were leaving. Staff seem a little oblivious to customers. I understand that it's not a restaurant and you might need to order at the bar, but honestly it wasn't busy and 3 members of staff approached one table while ignoring us and the guy who looked like a manager strolled around watching the match. Very upset about my experience today. I hate writing bad reviews, and as I said, brunch was brilliant before, maybe a slow day for the staff, but definitely needs some improvements Update: food is after getting much much better though some portion sizes are quite small. The male waiter working today was great 👍 a better experience than the last time. The bathrooms need a...

I recently dined at this "restaurant" and was extremely disappointed. First off, there were no vegan options and only one vegetarian choice, which is pretty limiting for a place that claims to cater to diverse diets. We had to wait an eternity to get served, and then the food took forever to arrive. To make matters worse, my coffee was forgotten because the server didn’t bother to take our order down properly.

When the food finally came, I was shocked by the tiny portion sizes that didn’t match what was described on the menu. My avocado on toast was soggy and tasted bland, like it had been sitting around for ages. It seemed like the avocado was pre-made, probably store-bought, and topped with some ridiculously spicy chilies that weren’t mentioned anywhere. For the price we paid, I expected something better, but it was pretty expensive and lacked any real flavor.

I voiced my concerns to the staff, but they didn’t even apologise; they just took it off the bill without any acknowledgment of how bad the experience was. Overall, it was absolutely disgusting and inedible. The staff didn’t attend to us well at all, and I left feeling completely dissatisfied. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It's a shame that restaurants continue to get away with this, it's not about quality anymore and the chefs don't even care...

4 of us visited on the 22 June 2024. Nice pub, nice decor and good Guinness when it finally arrived.

That's the good bits done. Took ages to get served, staff were doing anything but serving customers, despite the fact that there weren't many more customers than staff when we first arrived. Def not busy.

Staff very rude, one unable to take an order as did not understand English.

We arrived just before 2, we noticed there were some tables with reserved signs on them. At about 6pm a reserved sign was just dropped on our table which said the table was reserved from 7, we weren't the only table to receive this. Questioned why existing clients would be basically kicked off a table just because of a phone call. Didn't get much of an answer just that it was phoned in.

Really poor policy to kick an existing group off a table just because someone has phoned in. I've no problem if a reserved notice is put on an empty table but you don't kick existing customers off their table.

Ruined the experience for us. Staff had zero...

Atmosphere really nice and staff were lovely. Food came out super quick too, despite being busy. Got the platter for 2 (€40). The wings and chips were delicious. The mini burgers and sausages were nice too. Personally didn’t like the steak as I prefer it more well done but that’s personal preference. Unfortunately the stuffed spuds were stone cold which was disappointing. Cocktails 5/5, got a tropical dacquiri which was delicious 01/06/2024- went for bottomless brunch. Thought it was the list of drinks on the menu- mimosas, Bellini, Bloody Mary but it was only Prosecco which was disappointing…. The French toast was nice and pancakes nice but super filling

Looked forward to brunch this morning. A rare treat for us. Although my husband’s breakfast bap was lovely (he shared some with me) and the coffee good, I can’t believe the excuse for a pancake dish I got for €11. Two small, flat dull pancakes. Looked and taste like it was reheated and made yesterday/hours ago. €11!!! Yes, there were 2 streaky rashers too. The pancakes were around 10cm diameter. And, they say, made with buttermilk. Never again. Photo shows pancakes after I’ve started eating it. And a bit of my husband’s breakfast bap in corner.
