Last night, my roommate and I had a really unsettling experience with a food delivery. The wrong order was delivered to our door, and after realizing the mistake, my roommate called the business to request a refund for the wrong order. The business insisted on delivering the correct order, but my roommate asked for a refund again since his appetite was lost.
Around 1:40 AM, I was trying to sleep when I heard a loud noise from downstairs. I realized the commotion was caused by the delivery driver. He had knocked very loudly on the door, which was particularly disruptive since three of us were asleep. Upon my roommate opening the door his behaviour was aggressive from the start, to the point I could hear his voiced raised from my room upstairs. He insisted that the incorrect food, which had already been thrown out, had to be returned before any refund could be processed.
My roommate calmly told him that he just wanted the correct order delivered next time and reiterated the request for a refund. The driver became even more confrontational, threatening to call the Guards if the food wasn't returned. He even tried to force the door open when my roommate attempted to close it due to his aggressive demeanour. I had to shout at him to let go of the door and my roommate had to lock it to ensure he didn't try to open it again.
After this ordeal, the driver sat in his car outside our house for about five minutes, seemingly on the phone. It turned out he was calling my roommate repeatedly, to the point that he had to block his number to stop the harassment. Despite all this, there still hasn’t been a refund.
The whole situation was incredibly stressful and unsettling, especially given the late hour and the aggressive behavior of the driver. It's disappointing that what should have been a simple resolution turned into such a disturbing experience
I’ve never before come across such aggressive behaviour over something that could be so...
Read moreI've been a regular customer, ordering my usual kebab and drink. Tonight's experience was appalling. My food arrived after a hour, and instead of my usual, I received a large kebab pizza and a 2L full-sugar Coca-Cola. When I called to explain and request a refund, the restaurant refused, and said they will make and deliver a kebab. I declined, as it was already an hour past my original order time. And didn’t want to wait even longer just to receive my original order.I then asked for a refund and he replied with a laugh and a sharp NO..
Then, the situation escalated. Ten minutes later, at 1:40 AM on a Thursday, the delivery driver was banging on my door. He was aggressive from the start, demanding the Coke back. I refused, explaining I hadn't received a refund for the incorrect order. He then escalated the situation further by sticking his foot in the door, preventing me from closing it. My housemate had to intervene, and the driver then proceeded to bang on the door and harass me with non stop phone calls from his car until I blocked the restaurant's number. This behavior is unacceptable, especially considering I live on a quiet street with elderly neighbors and share a house with working adults. I am appalled by the service by both the Restaurant and delivery driver. I will be reporting this to Just Eat.
I didn’t eat the pizza I have pictures of it in my bin untouched and also the bottle of coke is unopened. I also rang you to tell you my order was wrong which I have a call log with a outgoing call to you for 1 minute and 13 seconds explaining the situation. You offered to Cook a kebab and delivery which would have even took longer. The delivery driver never had a kebab with him and then tried to enter my home demanding the bottle of coke. He also threatened to ring the guards. There is CCTV proof of this...
