What can I say that no one else has about this place. Anything negative would be a lie. Left Arno's appreciating good food more, completely stuffed and really happy with the whole experience. These guys really try and have put together a small menu, but they dedicate to perform this best of their ability, really good foodies wanting to serve the best. It's a shame they don't have more options, because I would be back to try it. The price is reasonable for the quality, of course at the higher end. So it's a really a treat dinner, and a treat indeed. I had the goat cheese creme brulee, sweet creamy and cheesy. A strange combo that works well and makes you think you're starting with a dessert. Scallops, cooked perfectly and the orange was a really nice touch to perk the dish up. The cold pressed Ham, was my least favourite, but I am not fond of salt ham. Still I wouldn't have been upset if I had order this. I would have preferred this room temp, rather than cold. I really enjoyed the steak, the blue cheese butter really drew out the meat flavour. Pork Belly was good, my Wifeys dish, and I can't judge, se would not share. I would recommend this place, it was my birthday and this place...
Read moreI took my parents out to Arno’s and we had an absolutely wonderful night, enjoying incredible dishes and tasty wine. The atmosphere is cosy and the staff are super friendly, they will put a smile on your face! And if the service doesn’t, I’m sure the food will! A well rounded menu on which every single dish seems tempting and it was hard to make a choice! Between us we had smoked haddock croquettes and pork cheek ravioli as starters, and beef featherblade and the ray wing special from the board as mains. All the flavours were so beautifully balanced, with classic flavours as well as new/exciting ones expertly combined. Every single thing on the plate tasted amazing! On top of that the plating looks stunning! Even the veg and potatoes on the side were perfect. Portions sizes are great as well, they leave exactly enough room to be able to enjoy a starter, main, and dessert. The wine list was great and we loved our choices. The desserts were scrumptious and so flavourful, with beautiful textures and presentation as well! All in all, this is the best night out you can have in Westport if you love good food made with the utmost care and expertise, and a team that goes the extra mile! We...
Read moreThis is a treasure, a piece of heaven and I'm so glad I was able to have dinner here. After a long day of traveling along the beautiful coast I more or less stumbled into Arno's Bistrot. I wasn't prepared for the joy and passion put on a platter. I had scallops as an Appetizer, served with fermented kohlrabi, orange dressing and hazelnut dukkah - delicious, what a way to start an evening. As a little surprise in between I was given a shiso sorbet. A herby, yet fresh treat inbetween. After that came the most excellent lamb I have eaten in a while, accompanied by pesto and sheep's yoghurt. The lamb was tender and juicy, with lovely vegetables as a side. The recommended red wine went well and smooth with it. The meal ended with a beautiful chocolate cremeux and lovely whiskey ice cream.
Service was excellent, too, kind and quick.
If I'm ever in the area again, I'll come back for sure. I'm still dreaming about this fantastic dinner.
