Loft at Donnybrook Fair — Restaurant in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown

I went upstairs for the first time in nearly one year grabbing food downstairs, because I wanted to have a different experience. I was quite happy with the service provided on the ground floor. Although the menu at Loft was not very inviting I felt like having something simple just to get to know the place and I am never coming back again. The staff who saw me first, instead of waving they would sit me soon, kept doing what they were doing with a very grumpy face. Then once I was seated the same person left me waiting and never came back to get my order, it was when a second waiter came that they took my order. They brought me the food and didn’t say anything and turned their back without giving me the chance to order something else. Only the third person was really nice and smiled a lot and took good care of my extra request. I wonder if the owner or the manager understands that a customer service is key. Because it’s not the overpriced chips that will bring me back...

Waited 20 minutes to be served and had to go up to the bar to ask to order,waiter took menu off me before I finished ordering ,food was good but the waiter seemed like he didn't want to be there, another table left because they were waiting so long to place an order and there was was a lot of free tables so it wasn't particularly busy for lunch time. Also there was a bucket catching drops from the ceiling near the entrance to the restaurant which was surprising for a relatively new building, overall would not recommend...

Im just after having the best lunch I’ve had in a long time. I chose the 8oz Dexter Beef Burger in the loft and it was very nice. I was struggling what to choose to eat off the lovely menu but our server Sarah recommended the 8oz Dexter Beef Burger and I have to say it was the perfect choice. Sarah was lovely and helpful and was very fast with the food. The wait time was very little and overall I had a great experience. Will definitely be recommending this to my friends and I hope I get another server as good as...
