Bunsen Phibsborough — Restaurant in Dublin

Last night we dropped into Bunsen to try it. We made our orders. We got the food but weren't impressed. The girl got our orders wrong. I ordered a burger with no tomato and there was tomato in my burger. I also wanted ketchup in it too. But there was none in either. My son's burger was the same, he wanted more ketchup and mustard but didn't get any. The chips were fine. My son got handcut chips and I got sweet potato fries. The Milkshake was ok. We both got a Chocolate Shake. But it tasted like Cocoa. It was like hot chocolate taste. We could finish the burgers. It was very filling after a few bites. Our experience wasn't great. Bunsen is great for a traditional burger. Loads of meat in the patty, juicy, done to your liking of medium or well done meat. A healthy serving of fries for sides. The milkshakes are fantastic too. They do Burgers, and they do them well. Always a sign of a good restaurant when they focus on doing what they know best.

The only issue I would raise is the fact they do not have vegetarian burgers. It would certainly bring more people in. Although I'm not vegetarian, my partner is and would certainly join me if there were available options.

First time ever getting what I’d call a sweating burger when I unwrapped it. Like water was sprayed on top. The taste is nothing exceptional so all the 5 star worry me about people leaving these reviews. I had the cheeseburger, and for me, it lacked flavor depth.
