IG: @Farhaan_10 My experience at the restaurant was quite average — it feels like they’re still in search of their unique identity. While the food quality is good and there are no major flaws, there’s also nothing that truly stands out or surprises the palate. I tried the Chettinad Chicken, which tasted similar to a ready-made version — decent, but not particularly remarkable. The Chicken Lollipop was served with mango chutney, which didn’t pair well; the traditional Schezwan chutney would have complemented it much better. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Gunpowder Dosa — just as good as what they serve on their food cart, easily one of the best around. In my opinion, they could consider focusing more on a dosa-oriented concept, similar to “Benne Dosa” outlets in India, offering a wider variety while keeping dosa as the hero of the menu. Overall, a decent experience with room for innovation and refinement — no major drawbacks, just potential waiting to be tapped

We’re so excited to have Dosa Dosa so close by! We’ve visited their food truck in Grand Canal, but having an actual restaurant to sit in is a treat. We went in at 4pm today and there was a stream of people coming in, which you rarely see, but it’s a complete testament to the quality of the food and service. We loved everything we ordered: mango lassi, fried baby corn, spinach masala dosa, 2 masala dosas, prawn curry, paratha, chais and halwa. Between the two of us and our toddler, not one crumb was left. This Sri Lankan can’t wait to come back, and I am delighted that there is finally somewhere local to get some top notch South Indian food.

Tried out the newly opened Dosa Dosa and was really impressed! We ordered the Gunpowder Ghee Masala Dosa, the Thanjavur Lamb Curry with Coconut Rice, and the Spinach Masala Vada. Everything was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The dosa was crisp and light with a lovely kick from the spices, the lamb curry was rich and comforting, and the coconut rice paired perfectly. The spinach vada was a great starter – crunchy outside and soft inside. Service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt relaxed yet vibrant. It’s great to have an authentic South Indian option in the neighborhood – we’ll definitely be back!

Good things first.

Staff was very friendly and was trying their best given restaurant is just opened a week ago. Also i like atmosphere , nice decor and interior.

We had 2 different types of dosas , i have been to their truck before so quality was same fresh and crispy dosa with enough filling. I can have that again.

We also had kathi roll to which my disappointment was out of frozen paratha not flaky at all , filling was ok and was not too spicy, which is a good thing.

We also had special on menu manga fish which was quite disappointing also made my stomach upset next day. It was chewy and very less meat given price is quite high for this dish. It doesnt accompany rice, but rice side is good quality...

We visited for lunch with our baby after booking a table and requesting a high chair in advance. Unfortunately, there was no proper baby-changing facility — the staff tried to help but could only offer two chairs in the accessible toilet, which was unsafe. The high chair was also broken.

Service was a bit disorganized — the waiter seemed unsure, served starters without plates, and even tried to clear my wife’s plate before she’d finished eating. The dosa was disappointing compared to their previous Dosa Dosa food truck, though the biryani was good.

Overall, we didn’t feel very welcome as a family with a baby. I hope the restaurant improves its facilities and service to be more family-friendly...
