Having arranged my aunts funeral in aug I had lots to do so I asked a family member to organise the food for me. It was a few years since I had been in the pub but I remembered it being fine. On the day of the funeral we were shown to the back of the pub where a young girl proceeded to ask if we wanted tea and coffee. They then brought out small platters of sandwiches which were very poor and the soup was really watery. We had less than 30 guests and I paid over €400 , it definitely wasn’t worth the money. A guy ( I think the chef) kept coming out of the kitchen to go for a cigarette and he looked like he didn’t want to be there. I know it’s not fine dining but I have to say I was a bit embarrassed. Unexperienced slow staff on the floor as slow as possible, just teenagers with no skills at all but the most horrible thing is the food! One small piece of salmon that died in Jurassic era was warmed up into a microwave along with three scoops of mashed potatos so dry and sticky that really made me laugh! It took them 10 minutes to bring me some gravy that I had to beg for, actually it was the only fresh made thing that kitchen produced, peas and carrot absolutely tasteless I had to drop some mayonese on it to be able to eat it. And at the very end they even confused my bill with some other table.... I don't know how happened that they have good reviews, might be for the drinking but for the food listen to me: go...

They serve food here as well. Once you walk through the doorway directly in front of you, you’re in the lounge. Very spacious here and the kitchen area is at the back of this. You’d fit over a hundred in the lounge no problem. They also have a small outdoor and slightly enclosed smoking area half way into the lounge and down to the left. One thing that annoyed me was the fact that I was charged €5.50 for a Guinness in the bar and in the lounge it was €5.70. There was no...
