An Enchanting Celebration at Schoolhouse Hotel in D4

Yesterday, Vania and I celebrated our wedding reception at the Schoolhouse Hotel, an experience that surpassed all expectations and left us with unforgettable memories. The Schoolhouse team orchestrated the most magical day, transforming it into a truly exceptional event.

Culinary Excellence: The culinary journey provided by the Schoolhouse was extraordinary. The food was nothing short of amazing, offering a fine dining experience that left our guests in awe. The attention to detail in setting up the Blue Room exceeded expectations, adding an extra layer of charm to our special day.

Personalized Hospitality: What set this experience apart was the personalized touch delivered by the entire staff and management. Every guest felt genuinely welcomed, creating a unique and memorable atmosphere. The snacks trolley during the hotel's welcome was a delightful touch, setting the stage for an evening filled with joy.

Pride in Perfection: The Schoolhouse team demonstrated an admirable level of pride in delivering an extraordinary event. Their dedication and commitment were evident in every detail, leaving Vania and me with cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

Luxury Stay and Impeccable Amenities: Following the celebration, we stayed overnight, indulging in the luxury of our spacious room equipped with all the amenities one could wish for. The experience was nothing short of indulgent, providing the perfect conclusion to our special day.

Irresistible Full Irish Breakfast: To cap off our stay, the Full Irish breakfast was simply irresistible. It fueled us for the exciting journey ahead as we set off on our honeymoon.

Heartfelt Gratitude: Our heartfelt thanks go out to the entire Schoolhouse team for making our wedding day truly exceptional. The warmth, attention, and dedication shown by each team member played an integral role in creating an atmosphere of pure joy and celebration.

In sum, Schoolhouse Hotel in D4 has set the bar for what a five-star experience should be. If you seek a venue that seamlessly blends culinary excellence, personalized service, and luxurious accommodations, look no further. Our special day was elevated to a level we hadn't imagined, and we are immensely grateful to the Schoolhouse team for creating the perfect backdrop for the beginning of our lifelong...

We stayed here in early September, so this is a review of the lodging, not the restaurant/pub. I want to rate it higher but one major thing dropped the rating for me. If you get a room in the half of the hotel closer to the reception desk/entrance, don't plan to get any sleep between midnight-2am local time most nights. That's when the pub/restaurant staff close down the venue and slam carts, doors, trays, etc around like it's a demolition derby. One main reasons we chose a hotel over in the Ballsbridge area was to avoid excessive noise like you would get if you stayed closer to Temple Bar or another central city area. I don't know what the hotel can do about this, if anything, but it was a real issue during the week we were there. If you stay here, try to get a room on the east side of the hotel, maybe, to possibly avoid this issue I also heard the hotel recently changed management, so some things seemed to be in transition, including some posted signs, staff, etc. That being said, we didn't hate it. The room itself was comfortable, the bathroom was in good shape, the bed comfortable, and overall the room was clean and presentable. The staff was overall friendly and helpful, and we really liked the location on Grand Canal and it's proximity to transit and walkable destinations & restaurants/pubs, shops, historic...

Every aspect of this stay was stellar. We were greeted by Daniela who is such a professional, charming, and effervescent person. We immediately felt welcome. The hotel itself is impeccably clean and well-appointed. The room was spacious, and the bed was so comfortable that I don’t think I’ve ever slept so well in a hotel in my life — and we were here for five nights so we truly got a feel for the room and for the hotel and its staff. ||Although we are in a city, the hotel itself is incredibly quiet which is a joy for people who are light sleepers. ||We cannot say enough about the staff with whom we interacted. As mentioned, Daniela was such friendly and welcoming presence, and we were so impressed by Fabiola and Ella, both of whom exuded good cheer, friendliness, and complete professionalism and kindness. ||This has been a legendary stay for us, and we are grateful to the staff for helping to make it so. The room was tidied up and made perfect every day by the wonderful housekeeping staff who worked like genies to make everything beautiful while we were out exploring. ||We cannot say enough positive comments about the hotel and its staff, and the location is perfect for exploring Dublin. We would give it more than five stars if that...

We flew to Dublin for the weekend to celebrate our son’s 14th birthday, and based on a recommendation we chose The Schoolhouse Hotel and Gastro Bar for his special dinner. The hotel itself is truly charming — both inside and out. In the evening it looked especially beautiful, softly lit from the outside with a picturesque canal right beside it, which created a cozy and memorable atmosphere even before we stepped in. The service throughout the evening was attentive and friendly, which made us feel very welcome. The food was good, though I expected a bit more. The seafood pasta was tasty and nicely prepared, while the steak was just average. A lovely touch was the birthday candle served with dessert, which made the celebration feel more personal and thoughtful. The tiramisu stood out with its beautiful presentation in a rounded glass, adding elegance to the end of the meal. Overall, The Schoolhouse is a wonderful spot for a special occasion thanks to its charming setting, warm service, and stylish atmosphere. While the food didn’t quite exceed expectations, the experience as a whole was memorable and enjoyable, and I would still recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy and picturesque place to celebrate in Dublin.

Nice quiet spot a little outside the city. The aesthetic in the Schoolhouse is pretty nice, The reception area is a little tardy but the rooms are really nice, large beds are just 2 twins pushed together so keep that in mind, The bathroom was nice and the shower was toasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. TV in the bedroom was a smart one but casting didn't work also network switch behind the TV was super bright, a little DIY and it can be blocked out (makes me wonder if hotel designer ever think about that) Big room key is novel but also a little bit of a hassle having to drop it off at reception. Aircoach 702 or 703 bus drops and picks up for the airport right outside. City Center is about a 30min walk but the city is very different at night so I would advise a taxi, the dart or a bus (no. 4 or 7). Restaurant is nice and food is pretty good. I was disappointed with the breakfast (A traditional Irish does not have streaky bacon) there are better places for a group.
