Called in for an impromptu swift one en-route to the Ireland v France match with the cousin.

Stayed for several more, a decent quick lunch, a few short ones, and returned after the match til closing too where we sampled the upstairs area.

Clearly "brand new, the varnish still shines", but good welcome in the style we all wish for from the team who were like Dublin of old with a stylish modern twist of efficiency (that's an accolade, for this County Cork "cockney" blow-in!)

The lads must be doing something right as we spied several leading Dublin publicans in attendance next to us!

We may be blow-ins, but we know our stuff, and we'll add this cracking boozer to our "must do" on all future trips.

We're curious to see the non match day vibe next, and may even tell a few of our own stories! We wish all the lads the best of luck on their continued journey of success. disclaimer - albeit we were recipients of a very welcome complimentary Baby Guinness post match close to closing, this in no way influenced this review. Thanks, gents. ...

Wow … my wife and I shared the buttermilk fried chicken thighs and the prawns as appetizers and then we both had the Angus hamburgers.

All food was absolutely outstanding.

My wife had a Rockshire lager and I had a couple Guinnes(es) and a couple shots of Jameson .. Dan was our barrender and was attentive Remind m In Boca Coco When we entered the bar, we were not sure where to go to get a table so we asked a wait person, and they immediately hooked us up with a person who turned out to be a co-owner

We went upstairs and had a great table, and the food … be as noted above … was outstanding.

Another co-owner came over to talk to us… His name is Jack… after i said how great the food was, Jack took me back to meet the chefs (so cool) and he bought us a round and took a picture with us and chatted with us for about 25 minutes about the storyteller pub and his future goals

Needless to say we had a special experience there and we absolutely loved it and if we are blessed enough to return to Ireland, we will make sure that the Storyteller is one of our...

Amazing little pub, first walked in and though ok, smaller then the outside looks, got the menu and thought oops, we should've went somewhere else. I ordered a Guinness which was the cheapest price I paid so far in Dublin, ordered a burger which was damn good, something about it was just better then anything I've had in the states. Wife got their chicken sandwich which she said was the best bread she's ever had, both of us were pleased with the food after getting it, literally don't judge this book by its cover. Atmosphere of the people in the small space was perfect. Would love to go back here again if I find myself in...

What a spot brilliant service even better food and better again the service . It’s very humbling to see owners working the bar and waiting on tables brilliant from the lads . The atmosphere is second to none and the bar staff are exceptional who seem to love working here . One bar man in particular Simon ! What a legend and a master craftsman in his trade of pulling pints . I will be back especially because of him . What a spot lads thank you

Went here after going to a show in the Bord Gais theatre. We had such a great night, the musician was brilliant, very talented and had great interactions with the customers. The staff are so sound! Would definitely go back when in Dubin again. We didn't get food, bar some lovely crisps, so can't comment on that, but definitely recommend going for a few pints. The bar is also dog friendly. 10/10!

It’s really one of a kind. The food is really good, I got the burger and it was surprisingly juicy and tasty. The fried potatoes were fresh and hot. The ambiance was amazing, the pub is filled with coasters which you write stories on the back and they stick them to the wall. The guy who works the tables was quick and polite. Overall very satisfied. Ps: Maurice I hope that journey is going well
