Read moreA hidden treasure on Back Lane at the eastern end of the famous The Liberties of Dublin. Tailors Hall itself was once one of Dublin's trades related guildhall's and is a virtual stone's throw from Christchurch Cathedral. A beautiful 18th century building (parts of which are much older) it has associations with the turn of the 18th/19th century as a meeting place of Irish patriots seeking recovery of independence from the occupying British forces. Today, the building includes a great bar and really beautiful beer garden. This is entered through a gated entrance, that on going through commands a stunning view of the building itself. I visited for the first time last week and found the place to have a stunning atmosphere; coupled with really friendly and helpful staff. Will be going there again. Strongly...
Read moreService was really bad. The place was not super busy at all and your drinks orders for three people would sometimes come out, then not at all or two at a time you constantly had to chase it up. The most outrageous thing was the food, never anywhere in Dublin have I paid € 7.00 for a small bowl of plain deep fried frozen chips, I ordered them as they were more expensive than what you would expect a side to be and I genuinely thought they would be either a large side with something or at least hand cut chips. The chicken wings were over priced as well a small to medium portion for the cost. Other patrons food was similar, small and overpriced from what I could see. I will never eat here again....
