Recently stayed here with my teenager. |Would stay here again in a heartbeat ||Location was excellent as it was can be conveniently located next to a one of the more popular pizza places (Bambino), a convenience store (Spar), a few blocks away from my grocery store (Lidl) and countless restaurants and stores.||Service was exceptional from check-in, to the request for umbrellas at the front desk, to calling for a taxi, including a 4 AM early ride to the airport. If there was any slight negative, it was the concierge was new to Dublin and did not know as much as somebody who was a Dubliner.||Maid service was efficient, our room was cleaned quickly, and water refreshed in the mini fridge.||The room had a generous size bathroom, with a standing shower, a nice sink area and two different lights, one which could be used as a nightlight in the evening.||The room itself was OK for European room size, but nothing special. The bedding was comfortable, and the room was quiet. There was a decent size TV on the wall that had an adjustable angle, and had about 15 English speaking channels.||We did not choose to try any of the restaurants in the hotel so we can’t speak to that. The bartender downstairs was nice enough to give us ice...
Read moreMy family of 5 stayed here twice on our trip, one night on the front end and another night on the back end. We stayed in a family room. The first night was perfect, the service was fantastic, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The second round was not the same experience as it relates to the quality of the room. We ended up first with a first floor room which was super loud from the outside noise… So we asked if we could be in a higher level room to help with the noise. They moved us to a much quieter room however the beds were horrible. As I lay awake in the middle of the night, I read previous reviews and it appears that this is a situation that others have encountered, with one person describing the beds as army cots. That is exactly what it felt like with the springs poking out. And for $700 plus a night, that’s completely unacceptable. It was room 207, so don’t allow them to put you in that room. So for those of you who would like to stay here — make sure you get one of the rooms that’s been updated (I’m sure management is going to say all the beds are the same but that is absolutely not true.) Otherwise, it’s a great hotel in a great location. Oh- and there’s no valet parking despite what the hotel...
Read moreStayed two weeks at The Grafton for work. Excellent location of being near to everything but not in the noisy bit of town. I was able to walk to most places. I arrived two hours early and they had a room ready for me. Room was well furnished and though there was no wardrobe, there was plenty of hanging space for clothes. A place to put luggage would have been good. Bed was so super comfortable! The bathroom in my room was a bit of a squeeze, ok for me for one person, but for more than one it would have been tight. However this layout could be an exception because I had a corner room. No bathtub for those who may be wondering.
There was a mini fridge and iron, housekeeping was good. I liked that there was a bay window area where I often sat for tea or had my breakky.
The breakfast included had sufficient options for me to go through a 2week stay. Occasionally I had early calls or had to work through the morning. The service staff was flexible and allowed me to pick a couple of things from the breakfast bar to have my room.
Front of desk was super helpful and accomodating. Overall very happy with my stay. Big thank you to all, and a shout-out to Pierre, Jiri and Nicky for making my stay...
