This place should be a hard NO on all reviews.

We have been traveling for a month and this is BY FAR THE WORST place we have stayed. I could have given it two stars simply for the location but it was too gross. If you want to be in the heart of Temple Bar then this is a last resort place if you can’t find another. But you will pay 200E+ for a tiny, smelly loud room. Honestly, I made a mistake in the booking as I was going for another hotel with a similar name (be careful, there is a temple bar inn (which I thought I was booking) and a temple bar hotel which also looks nice) but unfortunately booked this one.

First, the lobby is tiny and smells. After checking in you enter a dank stairway that smelled like urine and was full of garbage (see picts). After climbing 4 flights to get to the second floor (I don’t think there is a lift, at least we weren’t told of one and did t see one) we entered our Lego sized room. We booked for three people and literally only one person could move around the room at a time while tripping over bags. The others had to sit in the beds to stay out of the way. There is one old chair that doesn’t fit anywhere. The bed spreads and curtains are ancient and the bathroom sink is the size of a kindle. Good luck brushing your teeth let alone washing your face. Also, bizarrely, though it was a cool breezy evening in Dublin, this room hot hot, thick and sticky. We opened the window (only opens a small bit, and propped the door open to try to get some breeze but it didn’t work. We slept with a loud fan on a chair to get some relief.)

I have stayed in motels all over the world and I can honestly say this was one of the worst in terms of price to quality ratio. 200 euro a night for this place in unconscionable.

If you want to spend a night or two in temple bar and need an easy location to stumble back to after a night of pints, then this will do. But don’t expect anything nice. (Oh, one other thing, we only interacted with staff a very short time, they seemed friendly and helpful. Props to...

This post is to manage expectations of this hostel/hotel. First let’s start with the GOOD:

This hostel/hotel is centrally located to the young tourist night life. It’s next to Temple Bar which is a must for the young travelers looking for a fun night meeting other young travelers.

The service is good! Everyone was nice and helpful and the front desk is 24-hours.

There’s food (late night food too!) and it’s by all the bus stops (such as the bus to and from the airport or literally any city in Ireland).

I booked this place because I had been to Ireland before and needed a place to rest my head before moving on to my next destination and I knew this place was one block from all the most important bus stops.

Okay so now for the BAD:

I would NEVER book this place for more than one night. It’s in a tourist trap area and it’s so dirty (literally the smells are disgusting) and loud. The walls here are paper thin so I could hear someone snoring all night. So why do I still give this place 3 stars? Because I knew that’s what I was signing up for. If you book anything near the hottest tourist trap in town, you gotta expect this experience.

The rooms are the smallest rooms in the word but you get all the essentials. The place itself is rundown and a little shady slash haunted but that’s why it’s one if the cheaper places in the area.

At $150 a night I think this is way over priced (for my own room) but it is the cheapest place around. If I had paid around $75 I would have given this a higher rating but for the price I’d expect something a little cleaner or nicer.

If you are a young solo traveler and want to get away from shared rooms for a night, book this place as your splurge night!

However if you are able to afford more and you’re looking for a relaxing vacation, this is not the place for you.

Hope this helps manage your...

Man o man o man....where do we begin. Disclaimer: the staff was wonderfully kind, so this is not directed at them. However, you will develop insomnia by staying here. After two nights we were delirious bc of a total lack of sleep. The noise from the pub was abhorrent, after a while we had memorised all of the irish jiggs that exist (mind you, he isn't too talented either. But very enthousiastic). People took pictures of us the entire time...upstairs appartment isn't for the weak. The room was clean and had a toaster for bagels i'll give them that. Very convenient to get a guinness late at night but well let's just say you'll be bankrupt at the end of your stay if you do that. The bathroom was fine, although the room is very hot so you won't ever get fully clean. When entering we had to pass through brandy melville doors...very small gap. The windows couldn't fully open and they were very thin which did NOT help with the noise. Again we just have to emphasise the sheer loudness of the bar. Oh but if you thought the evening was bad...wait till you get woken up at seven a.m. by clanging pots and cans and whatever and random trucks staying there making noise. Again, staff was very helpful and kept our bags safe. But if you want to get some sleep and not be a walking zombie by the end of your stay, look further. Also: be aware of the area late at night and avoid alleyways as...

Great little hotel across the road from the Wall of Fame Dublin. Very close to the river. There is no bar or restaurant but why would you waste the space when the closest is 2 minutes walk away. Although there's no lift the stairs are fairly easy. Our little room (yes it was small) boasted 10 separate plug sockets and 2USB sockets. Ok 4 had plugs in them (TV, kettle, etc.)but the rest allowed you to plug in multiple devices without the need to get a mains extension. Really great idea. Shower,WC and sink were in a small room but tbh were all that we needed for our stay. Day and Night life in the area is great without the need to walk very far at all. We got a great deal so definitely worth a try if you're interested in staying in central Dublin. Staff friendly too. Two ladies were there when we visited both Eastern European not Irish but spoke perfect English.
