The Liberty Belle pub is a brilliant local not far from the heart of Dublin! My wife and I were staying nearby recently and we said we would get a drink on our way into the city. They serve a smashing pint of Guinness and I can't imagine that any of the other drinks are any different! Layout: The layout of the bar is a long slender room with the bar counter in the center on one side and long couches suround the walls of the rest of the bar. Decor: The decor is standard, nothing jazzy but it has character all the same. I didn't notice any fireplace but I'm sure it would be a cosy spot during the Winter. There are a couple of tv's and the day we were there they had a big projector and screen for the GAA. Thats not to say that this is a bar isn't a place you could come if its just a conversation that you are after because I am sure you will get plenty of it! Also, its worth noting thst there were numerous double outlets with usb slots for plugs/cables if you need to charge a phone or battery pack etc. Drinks: My wife and I both got a Guinness and as mentioned it was smashing. However, while we were there I noticed that the Liberty Belle had a few beers that I haven't seen on tap in a bar in years; Budwiser and Tuborg. They personally wouldn't be my first choice of beer but I did indulged in a pint of Tuborg and I have to say it was refreshing. Food: They serve sandwiches here as well. They offer a toasted sandwich option with either a pint of tea/coffee, nothing fancy and to be honest thats all anyone needs if your feeling peckish. Unfortunatley they were out of bread when we visited so I cannot attest to the quality of the sandwich but ai no doubt belive with would hit the spot! Overall Opinion: The Liberty Belle feels like it hasn't changed in years and its wonderful! I highly recommend stopping by The Liberty Belle for a beautiful pint of Guinness or drink of your choosing!

If Dublin has a soul, you’ll find it pulling a quiet pint at The Liberty Belle. This place isn’t just a pub — it’s a portal. No gimmicks, no pretension, just deep roots and real heart. The moment you step in, you’re met with that rare warmth — the kind you can’t manufacture. It’s not for show. It’s for locals. For people who still know how to talk to each other. The Guinness? Flawless. The pour is reverent. The glass handed over like a ritual. The staff? Salt of the earth — not just friendly, but tuned-in. No performance. The crowd? A rare blend — old Dublin, young heads, maybe a wandering soul or two who knew enough to stay. It’s not loud unless it needs to be. It’s not fancy unless you see with the right eyes. There’s weight in the wood, story in the stools, and some kind of magic in the air that tells you this place remembers. In a city that’s changing too fast, The Liberty Belle is an anchor. Come for one. Stay for a few. Leave lighter, somehow. Long may she pour.

An absolute gem of an Irish pub!

The Liberty Belle captures everything you want in an authentic Irish pub experience — warm hospitality, delicious food and a lively atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. The sandwiches were great and paired with a fresh pint of Guinness that tasted like it came straight from the source.

The blend of traditional charm and welcoming energy makes it one of those places you’ll want to return to again and again.

While visiting with my partner, we met Wayne, the most kind local you could imagine and owner Tom and his wife Elma, who were so kind and generous. Thank you for the pins and information on the history of the pub! Even though we are all the way in Canada, when we return, this will be one of our first stops. So glad we looked across the street and decided to head inside.

One of the best pubs I have ever been in. Highly recommend — a true Irish...
