I recently had the pleasure of ending my wonderful trip to Ireland with a stay at the Old Borough Hotel and Pub, and it couldn't have been a more perfect choice. Conveniently located just 10 minutes from Dublin Airport, it offered the ideal spot to relax and reflect before my departure. The rooms were a delightful surprise – spacious, clean, and thoughtfully appointed. It was clear that attention to detail is a priority here, making for a very comfortable stay. The highlight, however, was undoubtedly the pub. Boasting an impressive selection of draft beers, ciders, and whiskeys, it caters to every taste. The prices are fantastic, providing great value without compromising on quality. One of my favorite features was the outdoor patios. They provided a serene space to unwind, swap stories, and share favourite memories and moments from the trip. The combination of excellent service, cozy accommodations, and a top-notch pub makes the Old Borough Hotel and Pub a standout choice. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay near Dublin Airport.

Only paid parking outside and on the Main Street and there really isn’t that much space either. Bar was busy as the World Cup football was on and it’s a few weeks before Christmas. The bar area we were at was lovely and had a beautiful stained glass ceiling. However the tables were littered with menus and glasses and bottles. The only clear table was heavily marked with the remains of a sticky menu. Service is at the bar so take a note of your table number. The food is decent enough and not that expensive. It wasn’t that warm when it arrived and the bar staff just left the meals and never asked whether we needed anything else. He didn’t even lift any of the dirty glasses that were lying on other tables when he was going back. Just totally disinterested staff. They could do so much more with the place if the staff were properly trained.

What a find. We were stranded in Dublin swords due to Hurricane Ophelia and couldn't fly. We managed to get the last room in the travelodge down the road and went for a walk looking for something to eat. Everywhere we found was shut even though the weather was ok, That was until we happened across the borough. Brilliant. Not only had it used its common sense and looked out of the window to see if the weather was ok before shutting it actually had lots of happy and helpful staff working too. The place was great, cheap food with great service, cheap drinks too. No more than you would expect from a wetherspoons but it was a real find this night. So thanks to the Borough for saving our evening.

I was assaulted by the manager he accused me of recording him, this accusation was made to me because I had my phone in my hand I did have it Inn my hand once he started swearing at me and saying strange things like I'm stalking him.He grabbed my phone wrestled it from me and took it behind the bar. Called my room mate as I was guest in the hotel instead of the Garda to tell my friend but initially said he was calling the Garda which I also wanted as he assaulted me and took my property by Force.I have been to the Garda and reported the assault He said he was the manager apparently he's the night porter. Other staff actually warned us about the night manager prior this.My phone is damaged. The day manager viewed the CCTV with the "Head Cleaner" because she is the oldest there and has 9 years service!!!! Then conflicted there story's one seen it and the other didn't in relation to wrestling my phone from me I pleaded with him to return my phone saying I have kids ect what are you doing. He's very unstable.Garda have told them that the footage is to kept as I'm pursuing this. The night porter needs to be Garda vetted as his behaviour is very wrong here. Control of staff and vetting and duties not conducted in accordance with their job title. Badly Managed...

I called in for lunch with a friend. First impressions the place looked well until I sat down, staff were slow to clear tables, a little bit grubby. We waited for a while to be served only to be eventually told, there was no table service, we needed to order at bar. When we proceeded to the bar, to be rudely met by female bar person wanting to know what we wanted without even been given a menu. We were then asked for our table number, but we didn't have one yet because 1). How were we to know _ 2). Our previous table was taken when we had to go up to the bar to get a menu to order. I asked for a pint of cordial, I was given a glass of blackcurrant & told there's a tap you can fill it with water yourself... I'm all for cost savings, but this was ridiculous .. we eventually got to sit down, the food arrived promptly, but nothing special. We found staff rude, no way helpful, the complete opposite actually. The venue obviously doesn't focus on service, customers or...
