Supermac's Newcastle — Restaurant in Galway

I think given the mixed reviews there are two very different sets of staff as myself and my partner were staying at the sliding rock and went in for food at about 1am (they close at 2am) we were told they only had beef burgers and chips left (on a Thursday) my partner is a head chef and asked why a member of staff was wearing a furry jacket in the kitchen and turns out it was a manager and her excuse was she was "full of flu" so she should not have been working in the kitchen anyway! After this they turned the lights off and left us eating in the dark while having the door locked (which is a serious fire safety hazard) half an hour before close and turned customers away by merely ignoring them and were extremely rude to us.. the restaurant didnt seem busy all day and I can imagine this is why staff have a very bad attitude and poor sense of hygiene, HACCAP regulations and general...

I ordered pizza and cheeseburger meal of just eat at 7.54. Order didn't arrive and it was 9.25. Just eat app said food was on the way for nearly 40 mins. Rang restaurant to cancell order and ask for refund. Told me food never left the restaurant and a driver was never assigned. Also told me there was nothing they could do, that I had to ring just eat myself to cancell order. I work in the restaurant business and deal with just eat and restaurant are able to ring just eat (of course they are, incase there's an issue with an order) but when I rang the restaurant they weren't willing to resolve the issue or take any responsibility, and when I ask to speak to the manager they hung up the phone. I rang back and it was the same person dealing with me and he said he was the manager and told me there was nothing they could do. Absolutely appalling customer service. Should be ashamed...

Ordered online for collection. Was given collection time of 18.15pm Arrived at supermacs at 6.05pm as had another order to place . Wasn't served till 6.20pm. Placed order stood aside for another 15 minutes waiting . Was given order and then I asked for my order placed for collection too, the pizza hadn't even been made yet . At this stage I was too annoyed to wait for them to cook the pizza plus my other food was going cold. I just said give me 2 burger meals instead. I was given burnt chicken goujons as compensation to which were inedible.

☆☆☆☆ update☆☆☆☆ Was given a €20 courtesy voucher as an apology dealt with efficiently and promptly. My next order was perfect on using said voucher , food was fresh, Piping hot and delivered...
