Too many waiters were running like a headless chicken , no organisation at all, they looked confused when I asked for wine recommendations, I was told a sommelier will come to assist, but a guy who arrived was unprofessional. The older waitress was annoying with her made up fake smile and fake kindness jumping around us. There was a short waiter he was all over the place and constantly repeated “no bother, no bother “ like a parrot. From the kitchen (!) the owner lady wearing her home outfit came to our table ask us if all ok, she seemed very overwhelmed , neglected and looked like she just got up from the bed. An old bored fellow - who seemed important there - carried a bottle of wine to the table like it was a bag of potatoes. The food was just ok , nothing special. On top of everything two of us got food poisoned , we both had oysters which probably wasn’t fresh. There was no music we heard everyone’s talking next to us. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all you could get better service and food...

A lovely family run hotel right in the very centre of Killarney. Great location and such a handy car park in such congested busy streets. The bedrooms are slightly old fashioned but quaint. Lovely comfy mattresses and pretty bathrooms with lovely products. The staff were amazing , very friendly and helpful. We have been going to Foleys for 25 years . Covid 19 has affected the little decor homely touches but that's understandable. The breakfast was delicious and I am sorry we did not eat there. I will next time as I spotted their fine lobster tank on the way out. !! We continued our staycation to Dingle but reserved the following weekend to return to Foleys and visit the National park ( walking distance) . They kindly kept the rooms for us right up till Friday but due to the bad weather we cut short our holiday and came home. But we will be back in the future. Also, the rate was very fair especially for the single...

Beds are like a huge rock. Bad customer service. The only good one was a lady that came to front desk in night, from restaurant, when they didn't have anyone working in hotel part. Awful trying to get into the gate for parking, desk staff said she'd buzz us in after we circle around. She was gone when finally found open roads. Asked for extra sheets and it became a fiasco and was absolutely ridiculous. The lady came to room and insisted on changing sheets, remaking the bed after tossing everything on the other dirty furniture. She wouldn't stop even after constantly being told to stop many many times. Mind you by this is 11pm, wanted to find a bite off food and go to bed. Which by the time she got out couldn't even go get food anywhere. The beds were hard as rocks. They need to repair ceilings, curtains, bathrooms, tiles,...

The Foley is in a lovey old building in the heart of Killarney. It is a bit pricey but and some would say dated (we felt the interior was perfect for the building and the area of Ireland, it felt like stepping back a bit in time!!loved it!) but as a center for adventures into any of the three big peninsulas, as well as any number of little villages it is ideal. Great pubs and restaurants all around, and they have a very nice breakfast with delicious French pressed coffee and tea. A wonderful added touch is free parking!!!! an absolute essential when visiting the town center, especially during summer months. And finally, the staff. kind, helpful and wonderful. highly recommended!!

Foley’s Townhouse is perfectly situated in the heart of Killarney’s old city, making it incredibly convenient for exploring local restaurants, bars, and shops, all within walking distance. The warm welcome we received set the tone for a pleasant stay. Private parking behind the hotel was a great perk, especially in such a central location. While the rooms are older and on the smaller side, they are comfortable and very quiet, offering a restful night’s sleep. The breakfast is generous and delicious, with plenty of options to start the day right. Overall, a great place to stay, and I’d happily return!
