Positives: Great atmosphere, fun and attentive service and good drinks/cocktails.

Negatives: Food. Probably the worst food I've had in a decade. Nachos, a spoonful of salsa and a sprinkle of cheese with Jalapenos for 12e, awful, no guacamole, salsa that was like dried ketchup. My 15 year old self would do better nachos in the oven.

Dukkah Roasted Cauliflower - the worst cauliflower I've ever had. It tasted like it was pickled way past the expiration time in a jar of vinegar and honey. Felt like I was eating solid vinegar.

Cluck Burger - Get better and warmer and better breaded chicken fillets in a deli! I'm not exaggerating, I wish I saved money and spent a fiver in a deli and it would have tasted better than the fillet I got here resting between two unnecessarily large bread buns and resting on top of some disgusting herb and carrot salad, that ain't kimchi slaw, I have proper Korean kimchi sitting in my fridge. Shredded carrot and herbs in a chicken burger, with a brie cheese, just no. I was really hoping for the nacho crumbs coating to make memorable but that was also a joke. Not to mention the dry fillet and chips came cold.

Went here for lunch with my partner in Killarney - easily some of the worst food we've ever had here. The lamb kofta sandwich had just two pieces in the entire sandwich, and the sandwich I ordered was bland, tasteless and unfulfilling. Honestly, the bread had the most taste in the entire thing. Although the sharing platter of bacon cheese fries tasted great, the after-experience in the bathroom for us both was definitely far from great - wouldn't be surprised if the cheese wasn't cooked properly or was expired and gave us food poisoning. Staff were dismissive and generally not willing to help much with our table which kept leaning from side to side - addressing it only with a doorstopper. The Brazilian lemonade felt more like I was drinking curdled milk curds than an actual Brazilian lemonade, and was an out-and-out disappointment. Definitely not worth the money. I’ve been to The Lane many times but won’t be dining again. I booked a table for a party of 18. The booking was for 7pm, our table wasn’t ready til 7.30 but we didn’t mind as we ordered cocktails at the bar. Some of the girls were given a cold reception for ordering cocktails, at a cocktail bar. We were seated at 7.30pm but those who chose a main course and dessert didn’t receive any food til after 9pm. Some of which was cold. Especially the burgers. The place wasn’t busy even though it was a Saturday night. Paid what was owed, didn’t leave a cent more.
