Our worst experience as far as service goes. Now service in Ireland is questionable most everywhere. They have that island mentality; its a chill/relaxed vibe, so they abandon you there. We don't ask for anything. In this case we just needed to pay. My family left to explore the town and I stayed even longer to pay....new people came in and sat at our dirty table because I had moved to the bar to pay/be noticed. I was looked over multiple times. Eye contact, holding hand up when they looked. I finally walked to the back where the server door was to pay and they acted like I was the issue. It took probably 30 minutes just for me to pay for our food, at least half of that waiting alone. This was midday on a weekday. We've since had 2 trips to Ireland (a total of 4,906kms and 21 counties of the Republic) this is still our worst experience in any restaurant on the island. We are foodies and we love to eat/spend; we will not be coming back here. The stew was good, potatoes super dry, like you eat/mix with all the stew and still have dry potatoes left (but that is normal for Ireland as well). I don't know how they mash them. It may be with pure Irish rage....

Not good value for the money, usually we like Murphys Restaurants but not this one, and in almost all of them that we have been we have had a good experience. Let’s begin, first the drinks, if you go to a Murphys you usually have different types of Murphys beers to choose, here there was only one, the Stout. We love Stout but today we wanted another type, so we ended up drinking Stout. Secondly, the food, we ordered a Gnochi minestrone ragu and a Irish Burger (photo of the food), in the case of the first plate if you say Gnochi with Minestrone is Gnochis with Minestrone not a soup of Minestrone with a few Gnochis, call it soup not main dish. And the second the burger, there is something really basic when you order meat, how do you want the meat? Raw, rare, medium, well or done. They didnt ask us anything, they just bring as the burger really done, when we like it rare or medium. This I think is a big mistake. And finally the bill we pay like 44€ more or less for a food that was nothing special. So not really happy with...

We were looking for a good Irish pub and found this place over night, but there was a 45 minute wait. We were already pretty hungry, so we came back the next day with a reservation. It turns out we didn't need the reservation the next day, but oh well.

My husband wanted to start with the garlic cheese bread which was pretty good. Since we had been in Ireland for a few days, I felt like I needed to try some traditional Irish food, so I got the Beef and Guinness Stew. It was very good and I really enjoyed it. It was full of flavor -- the Guinness made the gravy very good. My husband got the Crispy Bacon and Smoked Cheese Beef Burger which he thought was just ok, but mostly because of the law that all burgers have to be cooked well done. My dad got the Traditional Irish Stew which was ok but lacking a bit in flavor.

It's a pub, so is can get crowded and when it does, it is quite loud which isn't surprising.

All in all, I enjoyed my meal, the service was good, and I would...
