Khan Tandoori — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Navan

Had a party of 16 there lastnight for my daughters 21st and without a doubt it takes first place in the WORST restaurant I’ve ever had the misfortune to eat in ! Arrived at 19:30 as booked and was only served at 22:00 our main courses which were totally tasteless over cooked and the portions were sized for a 10 year old child ! Totally over priced and when I asked for a jug of water I was told that they don’t serve jugs of Water but would be happy to sell us bottles instead !!! Never heard of such a ridiculous thing in all my life ! Ordered a “sharing meat platter for 2 as starter and we were given a plate with 4 pieces of meat and 2 tiny prawns that were all over cooked and a joke at €18.95 ! Main course was a butter chicken which was brought out in a tiny little bowl that was half full,10 min later the rice arrived,same way in a tiny little bowl,both were tasteless and over cooked and naan bread arrived as I ate my last fork full ! Had brought in a birthday cake to cut for birthday and decided at 11:00 that I would take it home instead and cut there so I asked for the bill and got a receipt the size of a match box reading “take away “ €500 I asked for a detailed till receipt so I could see what I was being charged for and was told sorry that’s all we have !!! The restaurant was a byob so no alcohol was in that price !!! Total joke and will never...

If you want an overpriced wait this is the place. update morning after my brother was up all night vomiting and my son had diarrhea all night We went here for mothers day. Booked a table at 5 for 5 people. Very very very very very very very long wait restaurant was full and everyone seemed to have an excruciating long wait. They seen to have focused more in people getting take away & delivery. We ordered starters and mains we wer nearly 3hrs in total which is crazy very very very very very slow table service. Starters between €5 & €10 mains are between €17 upwards peice not including rice or chips 🤔 for the price I thought it was very small portions. Mine was very spicy so I ordered Rita to cool it down but was told that could not be made?????? They gave me some very very watered down mint yoghurt and a very very small pot of it. Chicken was inedible very tough hard to cut and chew overall we weren't happy. We had cinema booked for 7 pm as we thought that 2hours would be plenty of time to eat and get there but unfortunately it wasn't so we missed cinema that was prepaid. Kids weren't happy 😕 So if you want an overpriced wait this is the place. I could actually feel myself age sitting there...

The service was horrible. I ordered for collection at 6pm and was told to be at the restaurant at 7:15pm, which I did. I only got my order at 7:55pm, after 40 minutes of waiting in the lobby. My order was only given to me once I knocked on the kitchen door at 7:55pm, when they suddenly "realised" my order was ready. When paying, the same man rudely gave out about me knocking on the door, not an apology for the waiting time or anything of the sort. His attitude really surprised me. I suspect I would've been kept waiting even longer having not knocked.

After this bad service, they also got our order wrong, having only given 2 out of the 5 rice portions we ordered. We were charged for 5.

As for the food quality, it was unacceptable. The "khan's special for 2" was 4 pieces of small sausage, 4 pieces of chicken breast and 2 prawns with onion on top. This was definitely not a filling portion for 2, and when mixed with a half a portion of rice due to the wrong order, we did not enjoy our meal.
