Oriental Palace — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Navan

Disgusted. I've bought the 4 in 1 from them for years Not because its really nice, but because its cheap. I have been a loyal customer and never had an issue until a forthnight ago when both my son and i got food poisoning. Within minutes we both ran to the toilet and remained there for hours, need I say any more. The 4in1 that day tasted dreadful, not like normal we both admitted. It was as if the chicken had been cooked hours ago and microwaved, it was dry and stale and had a profound taste. I called them straight away to advise them there may be an issue as a supporting customer, a heads up we will say. I was dismissed and disrespected on our phone call, All I was doing was trying to advise them there was an issue with the chicken, I couldn't continue to be barked at on the phone so I asked that a superior colleague call me back, The next day I got a phone call from the young lady whom I think is part owner of the restaurant, she seemed to be again dismissing my claims and saying its impossible for it to happen that fast. But as I said I'm not looking for trouble but only to resolve the matter ourselves, No offer of help was made I practically had to say I would like a refund or maybe just not have to pay the next time, she said that's fair enough But when I returned she only reduced the €7 that the 4 in one cost from the bill and tried to charge me for the other 2 meals coming to €17 I didn't feel it was fair as I drove from kilmessan the previous time only to get nasty gone off food and spent hours that night on the toilet along side my son whom ordered a 4in1 also. I felt that should have compensated me for the turmoil I endured that night by not charging me for the full order of only the balance of 17e She was so rude, started shouting and embarrassed me in front of several customers who were awaiting there take away, it was a busy Friday evening, I left the premises mortified that I had to insist and argue my point for 20 minutes in front of all those people, she even stated we have solicitors😵 So I will now pursue this place for public liability and humiliation and food poisoning and I recommend that no one eats there as it has gone downhill fast in thale last year. And the staff are horrible if you have any issues. A loyal customer for years To end in such discrimination Sad really I wish it wasn't true, But foods gone downhill Stay clear of this place It's slipping as they can't keep up.with the population growth and are cutting corners and may potentially kill someone in the process FOOD POISONING IS NO JOKE NOT RECOMMENDED STAY CLEAR

Nasty food, nasty staff. Should be ashamed. Obviously the reason all seats are empty on a fri/sat/Sunday night

We often come to Oriental Palace and est in. Last night was for our wedding anniversary.

I thought the staff had changed as I saw a fella I've never seen before and both waitresses missing - I was told she had the night off (both of them?)

Then I saw the prices on the menu had gone up slightly and the order we usually have not there. They usually look after us regardless of the menu, but this time he started rummaging through the menu.

Then the food came, not on the heated tray as usual with lids on the rice and spoons in the dishes. Just open bowls dumped in front of us.

The curry was heavily spiced - so much so that I had to ask for water (that is usually given) - even then I couldn't eat it. He knew when he came to collect the dish as he mentioned it.

Since then I've had awful indigestion to the point I feel like I may throw up and still feeling rough at 4am - I hope there is nothing wrong, that it is just indigestion and nothing else. The wife is feeling the same..

Went in after a bit of shopping with my toddler. Not a soul in the place only us. Server very ignorant. Im not a massive meat eater so i only ordered the starter portion of the chili chicken as i wouldnt of even finished that portion. It was €8 something and main was €18 something so no point spending more money on wasted food. Also ordered a portion of fried rice and noodles and chicken and chips for my son and drinks. Server told me i could only order a main course as its too small, i said okay well does the main come with the rice atleast and she got more ignorant and said no. I said okay ill leave it so and she snatched the menus and walked off. With not one person in the place i think yous should be glad of the custom instead of ripping someone off of an extra 10 euro for a main course. I was willing to spend it but not with her attitude and what restaurant doesnt have chips/rice included in their nearly €20 dish. Often got take aways from here...
