This was my 3rd time to the grey dog (one time I had the waffle and was amazing, hot chocolate and coffee also good) and I must admit I was very disappointed. Now don't get me wrong I will be back and will try again. Today we tried burritos. Mine was smaller than my fiancé's and I was very disappointed with the quantity of the filling. Small bit of beef, barely any rice or salsa. My fiancé's was filled with rice. Small bit of beef. I understand its extremely busy, we waited 15 mins. But I still expect a good quantity of food for the price. It is not cheap. I also ordered a kinder bueno milkshake €6 and it was too small for the price. Staff extremely friendly.

We had read about the food in the Brass Fox and said we'd try it but definitely won't be back we had 2 starters and a pizza between us and i didn't think you could go wrong with a pizza or nachos but they were terrible the pizza lacked topping even though it was 2euro extra per topping so we paid 2 euro for 4 wild mushrooms which were actually 4 small button mushrooms 2 euro for a slice of ham and 2 euro for red onion definitely over priced but if it was done well u'd say fair enough but it was just thrown together with no care very disappointing the older lady serving us was polite and nice but im afraid it ended there

They completely forgot about our order (after 30 min waiting), when I went to the till ask about my food they kept me waiting for extra 10 minutes only to tell me to wait for 20min more... almost one hour to eat and they were not busy. I think its really disrespectful specially when you have to pay upfront. Food look sloppy and in small amount.

My husband and I went here a few weeks ago. It was quite busy, there was some football or sports team there. When we ordered, we were told it would take 20 mins. As it was quite noisy in there we said we would come back in 20 minutes. We came back just before 20 mins later. A huge queue had formed of this team who were now all ordering ice cream. My husband decided to join the queue in case we had missed our order. He was in the queue for over 10 mins, so now 30 mins since we ordered. He was told another 5 mins. Another 10 mins passed and someone came out with his coffee. We had specifically asked for our drinks to come with our food (luckily we declined to get them when we ordered which was now 40 mins ago). We presumed our food must be coming soon. Then we saw someone coming with what looked like what we ordered. But she walked right past us and outside , then came back in, still carrying the food, walked past us again, and left the food behind the counter. More time passed and it was now over 50 mins since we ordered. I started to queue again. When I was next in the queue, I heard my name being mentioned and the girl who had left the food sitting behind the counter almost 10 mins earlier said "that was the one I had that I couldn't find them" couldn't find us? We hadn't moved since getting the coffee and she walked past us twice without asking us if it was us waiting for the food! Before I got the counter, another girl came over and my husband asked her how much longer we would be waiting. She said "I have it here" and she went and picked up what was left behind the counter. It was cold! My husband's coffee was also cold by now as he had been given so far before our food. I understand it was busy but the delay isn't actually my biggest issue (although if we had been told when ordering it would be an hour wait we would have left it) it's the fact that we paid over €35 and our food was cold, all because this member of staff didn't bother asking us (despite us clearly waiting with no food) if we were waiting on food and instead thought the best thing to do would be to leave it behind the counter getting cold. I did contact them afterwards (no point saying anything when we were there) to mention what had happened and also the fact that the sports team were allowed to all just walk around all the other tables, going outside and back inside, touching other surfaces, most never sitting down and none wearing a mask. I was asked for my phone number, which I gave them, and then heard no more from them. Over an hour wait for cold food that was not cheap. We...

I'm very sorry for the owner of this place for having such a slow staff, it literally destroyes the enjoyment. I've been waiting for my takeaway ice cream for 20 minutes and then when i come up to the register they said "Sorry, we forgot to make it". Its okay if it happened ones, but in The Grey Dog it happened like 2-3 times through out recent 2 years for me. Its unexceptable, there were barely no orders before or after i ordered my dessert. The funny thing is, that after i asked where is my order, they made it after 2 MINUTES!!! By the faces of other people who ordered takeaway there were also waiting for their order for a very long time. I've given this place 2 starts because ice cream was amazing, but i would give it a 1 because how slow everything is. Also during Covid Restrictions, this restaurant was absolutly amazing. The staff was fast, the food was great. What happened now? They cut down half of the menu (where is my buritto? crepes? and bubble waffles?) and they hired a very slow staff. Please make The Grey Dog...

If I could give 0 stars I would. Extremely rude staff, the place seems overstaffed and under worked. Went in today to order ice cream for the kids since it wasn't busy. There was just one lovely elderly gentleman ahead of us and yet both him and us were waiting a good 10 mins tk even be approached. Then the girl at the till started barking orders at the elderly man about his covid cert and was extremely rude to him. Next it was our turn. She wouldn't even listen to my order, which was in no way difficult. My husband asked a question about what type of cones they had and she just walked away from the til and barked at another member of staff to "finish dealing with us!". As the other girl was checking what we already ordered, which surprise surprise wasn't what we asked for, the first girl once again barked at her to "just make us what she had already started in the order"! At this point we had had enough and left, no ice cream is worth the level of rudeness we...
