Teta Cafe — Restaurant in Jerusalem

This is a little gem of a place on a tiny side street off the David Street souq that we found based on these very Google Maps reviews. When you find St. Mark Street, that is where you go even though it doesn’t look like it goes anywhere. It is as charming as claimed. This is the best felafel I've had, no cap.

The cafe is family owned and you can see how much heart and soul they put into every detail, from the cafe interior (they gutted the place and renovated it themselves), to the FRESH made felafel using a family recipe and unique spices, and even the way they take time to press the felafel balls into the pita to ensure you get a taste of it with every bite.

It was like going to grandmas for lunch, in the best way possible. One of a kind atmosphere, extremely kind owner (her English was better than mine), off the beaten path location, excellent value… they even fed me some of the food they were cooking their family for dinner to accommodate my diet! Highly recommended.

Ps, After you eat, take a left out the restaurant, head to the end of the alley, then up the stairs and to the trees for a wonderful view...
