Arcaffe — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

Okay coffee. Nice ambience. Relatively clean. Very few interesting vegan options.

I went to this branch with a friend on a hot day to have a cup of coffee indoors where the A/C is on 😊

The ambience of the place is nice and the music is cool. The service was courteous but I think they were a server short at the order counter that day bc we had to wait until he finished serving the customer before us before he started serving us.

The coffee was okay. Nothing to write home about. They use only one kind of coffee bean, like most cafes in Tel Aviv, which makes for a predictable coffee experience.

Arcafe hardly has vegan sandwiches, so if you’re looking for something small to eat, the only option are dry cookies or a big salad. They did offer to make me a vegan sandwich but with avocado - which you can get practically anywhere, so I declined. For a fine coffee house in Tel Aviv you’d think they’d offer a wider selection of interesting dishes.

They have an outdoor seating area that is kept kind of neat and clean. Could use some tidying up, though. The deck needs a good scrub.

The bathroom is clean but not spotless. It feels like a dungeon, without windows or proper ventilation. But they do have a wheelchair accessible room, so that’s good.

It is time to deliver the message to Arcafe that there is a certain deterioration in the quality of everything since the first places opened. It is not our chosen place for coffee anymore, but we did go for breakfast tin the Tel Aviv Rotshild branch on June 29 2018. We order shakshuka. Just not the standard we used to get in Arcafe in the past. It came dry and overcooked on the top as if it was over heated second time or something. The coffee was, as I said before, mediocre. It is time for Arcafe to understand that you can't rely on past glory and you have to keep standard high at all times. We got the Breakfast Special for one and it was enough for a light meal for 2, (but there’s also a for two option). Two types of good whole grain bread with seeds etc, eggs, standard tomatoes+cucumbers Israeli salad, a bunch of spreads including jam, guacamole, and dairy cheeses, and choice of 2 drinks- juice, coffee, tea, etc. Vegan sandwiches available. Fanciest green tea bag/sachet I’ve ever seen! Extra points for quick service, both indoor & outdoor seating, and being open on Saturday.
