HIVE — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

This place is unique. Two things happened to me that I have not experienced in any of the 35 countries in the world I have visited so far. Right upon ordering I have been asked to leave my credit card as a deposit. This really killed the vibes. Like why the huge mistrust? I presume they do it to foreigners only. I suggested to just pay immediately but this was not an option since they will have to pay the visa fees for each transaction. I felt extremely uncomfortable and uneasy knowing my credit card is somewhere behind the bar. Second unique experience: they served us tequila without salt 🧂 and lemon 🍋. Understandably, I was very annoyed and left less than 10% tip. The staff would refuse to give me my card back unless I tip them 10%. Absolutely outrageous. The atmosphere, guests and music are nice tho. The place was recommended by a local friend of mine. However the experiences described above made it a huge...

Worst place ever!

The 2 hostess were absolutely rude, the "shomer" was unbelievable rude. There was no line to enter into the club, not organized at all. And the costumers were pushing everyone...passing through people ...

Everyone were without masks (they were asking for the green pass....🙄)...

Crowed and for sure were more than 80-100 people inside (on the inside has a sign saying 49 people capacity)...

On the dance floor almost 80% were smoking cigarettes (by the law it's forbidden to smoke in closed spaces)... The food I think was made by apprentice with no sense of taste and preparation.

The drinks were regular and too expensive (I know it's TLV, but come on... No quality...no expensive goodies, right?).

The music was nice, but me and my friends went out of the club, because it was so crowded and smelly...

Not worth to come, never more!

Unfortunately, the only redeeming qualities of HIVE are the location, chill vibes of the rooftop bar, and the techno music played in the club. My friends and I decided to spend our night out here, and although the staff was friendly and the music was good, the drinks had little to no alcohol. The mixed drinks were very good, but they seemed to only contain juice. We kept ordering ‘shots’ because we seemed to be immune to intoxication that night. As the night progressed and we were 7 or 8 rounds in we finally realized that the staff were basically serving us water. After 3 hours of drinking, I’ve never been more sober. Although there is more to going out then getting drunk, I feel robbed spending so much money for water.
