Vermuteria — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

Wow wow wow. Everything we had was so delicious. Feels exactly like you’re sitting right in Barcelona (in fact this place was better than a lot of places I’ve tried in actual Barcelona). Some highlights were the charred octopus and the basque taco. Yum! Food came out at a great pace (not a given here in Israel where most places have not mastered that skill) and even though the review I read that caused me to want to try this place mentioned how expensive (but worth it) this place is I thought it was actually very reasonable! My only complaint is that we sat in the covered non—smoking area but the doors open right to the smoking area and so the smokers were basically smoking on to my food which is disgusting and I don’t care who disagrees me with - when can we put the smokers all the way in the back instead of rewarding them with the best seating real estate where their smoking bothers everyone? But no matter - the food...

I think I just found my new favorite place in TLV! We were lucky to find a place in a 24 hours' notice (the place was completely booked when we got there). We were seated outside which scared us in this weather but it was actually really nice (there are fans and inside is very loud...). The menu is filed with options for everyone, there's vegetarian options, meat and fish and (almost) everything we tasted was delicious! The Sweetbreads are a must and the salty chorus as well. On top of the great food they have a really wide selection of alcohol and vermouth. The (fantastic) waitress we had recommended a few local and imported vermouths for us and nailed it every single time! We had a great experience and we will definitely...

Great spot! Perfect for almost any situation — a couple looking for drinks and dinner or snacks, a group of friends, or any kind of outing. The drink selection is wide and high-quality, and the bartenders really know what they're doing. The service is wonderful — the waitstaff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about both the food and drinks. They're around exactly when you need them, without being intrusive. Seating is outdoors, but the area is shaded, with plenty of fans to ease the humidity and keep the mosquitoes away. Definitely a place to come back to — again and again...
