Plantone — Restaurant in Alberobello

Staff aren’t friendly, the exact opposite in fact. They’re uninterested and impolite, even though the spot is really nice.. cause it’s very central, it’s located in a square and people are passing by.. Also, we were said that the cuisine was closed and the time was 11+ am 😒. I saw that they had sandwiches in the store (pucce) but I’m not sure if they are meant only for take away at that time. But after a while we saw in a nearby table of Italians a sandwich served so I don’t know what’s true after all. Also, we ordered in Italian but they still managed to make a mistake.. Another negative was that the WC is only one and had a long line.

The coffee though was very good..

All in all, I cannot recommend to visit the place .. I guess if you want a quick coffee it would be ok, but still you can get a much better service and the full Italian...

Do not go to this place! First of all, there are too many staff members doing nothing for just about 15 tables they look bored and completely uninterested in working. We sat down and were ignored for 10 minutes, even though we were right in front of them, at a dirty table they didn’t bother to clean. Inside the bar, they’re laughing, playing around with the orders, laughing on their phones. Tables remain messy for ages, and when they finally clean them, it takes two people just to pick up three glasses. Absolutely not efficient, especially for a touristy area.

The worst part? The bathroom. There is only one toilet for both men and women, and it doesn’t lock. The door is one of those double swinging doors you push open, so there’s a huge gap in the middle. Anyone entering can clearly see inside, and you can’t do anything about it because the door is far away from you. It’s extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate.

🇮🇹 Italiano (aggiornato): Non andate in questo posto! Innanzitutto, ci sono troppi membri dello staff per appena 15 tavoli , sembrano annoiati e completamente disinteressati a lavorare. Ci siamo seduti e siamo stati ignorati per 10 minuti, anche se eravamo proprio davanti a loro, a un tavolo sporco che non si sono nemmeno presi la briga di pulire. Dentro il bar ridono, scherzano con le comande e stanno continuamente al cellulare. I tavoli rimangono sporchi per tanto tempo, e quando finalmente li sistemano, ci vogliono due persone solo per portare via tre bicchieri. Per nulla efficienti, soprattutto in una zona turistica.

La parte peggiore? Il bagno. C’è un solo bagno per uomini e donne, e non si chiude. La porta è di quelle a doppia anta che si spinge per entrare, quindi c’è una grande fessura nel mezzo. PLANTONE is located in the main area of Alberobello and one would expect a fantastic service as it’s so busy with people looking for good food and fast service. The food was tasty and given the fact that it’s sandwiches we got our food quite quickly. However, they didn’t take our order quickly. They even took the order of another table that got there after us and when I asked the waitress if someone could come and take ours she didn’t even bother coming to speak to us and said there was only one member of staff taking orders.
