Il Boccio — Restaurant in Aosta

Sitting outside was nice, the place and waiters have informal relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed the time but not the food. Not sure why this restaurant received such high rating. The Carpaccio plate seem to use cold-cuts, not raw meat, sprayed with olive oil and tomato. Main plate, polenta and meat was inedible - the meat was very salty and the polenta was tasteless. We are not Italian speakers. They provided few fixed-price one page menus - Italian only. We needed the waiter's help to understand it. The one we used posted a 1st, 2nd and main plates was marked 20 Euro but apparently the main plate had a high extra charge of 14 Euros by itself so we ended up paying 34 Euros - each, for this meal which unfortunately left us hungry. This restaurant was on a list of discounted restaurants (by our hotel) but they refused to acknowledge that and did not...

Revisired: Lunch: crowdy, noisy, the antipasto wasn't impressive (tomatoes half ripe and hard, mozarella far from being buffala or even frim Campagna), but all in all good. The firdf time I went there was for dinner and they ticked every box. Much better. Quick, well behaved, lovely garden setting... È la prima volta in vita mia che metto una recensione negativa perché non è nel mio stile ma onestamente non mi è mai successo di trovarmi così male in un locale. Ieri con la mia famiglia siamo stati a mangiare in questo ristorante. Devo dire che il cibo non era male per carità. La cosa che non ho digerito è stato un cameriere che voleva fare il simpatico ma evidentemente non è in grado di farlo. Una persona presuntuosa che però non sapeva ben utilizzare il tablet per le ordinazioni e che addirittura "scherzando" si è permesso di dirci che se fosse per lui ci avrebbe fatto mangiare "solo una cosa così lavorava di meno e andava a casa prima". Ne avrei altre da dire ma non mi voglio dilungare per una persona poco professionale ed a tratti sicuramente invadente. Ovviamente la cosa da fare sarebbe stata alzarsi e andare a mangiare nei tanti ristoranti presenti nelle vicinanze ma non lo abbiamo fatto avendo dei bambini piccoli che avevano fame. Peccato per questo signore perché il locale non sarebbe stato male! Invece molto carina e dolce la ragazzina in sala, il signore con i capelli lunghi che serviva e la signora in cassa. Mi scuso per il papiro ma davvero siamo rimasti delusi e volevo condividere l'esperienza per evitare che qualche altra famiglia passi un pranzo spiacevole come l'abbiamo passato noi.
